Thanks for the input ghilis. I will get in touch with my HS to lock down what my exact GPA was. Haven't followed along with this thread as I have been on vacation. Did you get the job?

You should be fine unless they see your screen name
Good input! Yeah my little word play with my home airport of SUX at the time thinking I was funny can come off poorly.

You just described my situation exactly. I did have to provide high school transcripts as I recall. They definitely asked me about the LARGE disparity in HS and college grades with the first or second question. I told them I got focused and disciplined, and it made all the difference. I got hired so I guess that is the right answer. Good luck.

I forgot to put HS GPA in app. That was part of the "fix it" email I got right before I got the call to interview.

C+ student in HS and undergrad. 3.9+ in challenging Masters (definitely not "pay the fee, get the B"). I got asked about that in the interview.

The GPA stuff is ridiculous. Pretty soon they will be needing guys so bad the only requirement is that you have seen an airplane in your life.

I know it is what it is -- but really? Your HS or College GPA? It's like all these airlines are picking folks to send them into space.

Did anyone go to a high school that didn't use a 4.0 scale? Ours was on a 0-110 scale.

For tickets, do you put all of the tickets you've ever received or just the ones on your driving record? I have a couple that aren't on my record anymore and I have no info on them. I guess I could ballpark the dates?

I wouldn't sweat the high school details at all. Zero questions on that part of my life. My high school graduation was 28 years ago and I have no idea what scale they used. I was a solid "B" student, so I put down "3.0" on airlineapps.

For speeding tickets, my official state record is clean, but I had at least five that I can recall from my younger days. I put them all down, noting "estimated" for the details. Got one question about my most egregious offense (97 in a 65), and explained that I learned my lesson and have matured (OBTW, that was my last ticket, 17+ years ago, knock on wood).

Doesn't get much better than that right there!

Thank you all for chiming in on my question. It is great to see poor high school performance can be explained in a good light with a GPA in the mid 3's from college.

Delta can afford to be picky and I highly doubt "they will be needing guys so bad the only requirement is that you have seen an airplane in your life".
