Hoping like heck for ATL, but pretty sure I'm picking 49/50...yikes! Oh well, good problem to have. See you on July 7th!

Why is the 320 so popular opposed to the 737 even in NYC? Doesn't the 320 do RJ type flying?

You got me... IDK. If I wasn't commuting as a newhire, I'd go 737, 767, 320, 717, m88 in that order. If I was commuting, I'd swap the 767 and 737. To each his own.

If you consider the cockpit as your office space its a no brainer. The 737 is cramped, loud, and uncomfortable. With regard to your seat you have a choice you can slide it back or recline it but you can not do both at the same time.

The flying is probably pretty similar overall with the 737 perhaps doing a little more of the Transcon type of legs.

If I were a newbie, I would embrace the suck and bid airbus. It is the future at DAL.

Compared to the EMB-145, the 737 cockpit is a luxurious, quiet office. :-)

Nothing wrong with getting some airbus stink on you while you're young.

After flying the 88 for 7 years, the 737 is such a gentleman operation. I'm sure I will love the ER one day soon.

The "mystery" wears off quickly. The 73 is such a much nicer jet. I should have bid it years ago.

I see that pic and I immediately think -- wear a helmet!

The 320 is probably popular with newhires because it's a fairly good compromise between the fast movement but utter discomfort of flying an 88 (brutal trips), and the slow movement and utter discomfort of flying a 737 (brutal cockpit*).

* My favorite 737 quip: 2 guys in a phonebooth in a hurricane doing what 3 guys used to do in the 727.
