Now this ^^^^^ is what I'm talking about! Thanks Gloopy, great advice!

Blind devotion to a job/company works for some, but if you aren't trying to better your circumstances, you might as well be a robot, IMHO. I expect it to be tough wrt commutes and reserve, what I'm trying to figure out is how to make that time the shortest possible!
I am also refreshed to see that you are not a lemming and that you are honest and are an individual. I know the hiring has started and I know most will sell their soul and change their behaviors to get hired (kind of like what I did in my mid to late 20s ). Your truthfulness might not get you hired (might show a lack of motivation or diligence in an interview-), but your dedication to what you and your family need/want is very refreshing and courageous (Probably the way I would be today).

Good Luck to whatever you choose.

The EtD program at Endeavor is the probably the fastest route for you.

I have an interview at Delta this summer, my concerns/decision is more about trying to look into the crystal ball and see if this is what is best for us wrt basing/commuting/reserve and all the seniority games that go along with it. I applaud those who the Endeavor program will help realize their dream of becoming a pilot for Delta. I personally think it is a tough road financially and professionally to follow (obviously dependent on your financial and family situation). Good Luck!

Commuting sucks. The only way to make it suck less is to remove the stressor elements inherent in it.

I'm assuming that's the guy born 1989 looking at a 40.5 year career at Delta. Good for him. Timing and luck.
