Like you said, the "fix it" request just means your app got pulled for review. You could end up in any of the supposed 3 folders or tiers. I know folks who received the invite "email" without a "fix it" request. There really is no correlation other than hoping your app scores high enough for an invite.
Waggs,
Do you have any idea or way to figure out which tier you ended up? I also botched putting my high school info and I will be separating from the AF in Sep. My availability is yesterday and I am a 3,900 TT 1,500 IP in a Tanker, Global and Texan. Scratching my head if I wound up in a throw away pile. That update came on 26 May and was fixed the same day. Any clue when all the astronauts, legacy folks and the average white male will get another email? Just curious if you have broken any more of the code.

Does the Vice President know about this?! jk... the people I talked to that had to retake the psych were trying to hard to trick the test or portray themselves as someone theyre not. They all made it through. But regardless, clearly this is a standup individual if he got hired by the 89th AW and then by both DAL (almost) and AA.

I don't know anything more than what most on here have put out and what the Delta folks put out at the WAI conference.

-Make sure your application is "perfect." It's their only way of knowing you. No date gaps, all your education, formal schools, volunteerism, etc.
-When they need to do interviews, the computer pulls applications based on parameters set by HR. if your app gets pulled, it's then hand scored by a pilot and an HR rep. Supposedly the scores are usually very similar. (There might be some parts that aren't exactly right - can anyone confirm this?)
-Your app is then placed into one of three tiers. They're, or at least were, conducting interviews from the top tier only. This may have changed since it seems a few more slightly less than "Chuck Yeager/John Glenn" types are getting interviews. In other words, more normal types, at least if you're military.

To answer your question, I guess the only way to know which tier you're in is if you get an interview or not, but at that point it doesn't matter since you got the interview!

Also, after your app's been scored and, let's say, it was garbage and you got put in the bottom tier. You've since made it awesome, I have no clue how long it takes for them to get back around to you to re-score it.

No, apparently a flaw in the system. He was hired by DAL and then told two months later he'd failed the psych review board. He then immediately interviewed and was hired by AA. He retired yesterday from the USAF and VP Biden pinned him with several medals and said goodbye personally. How does DAL explain that? Good enough to fly for the First Lady and the VP but can't fly pax to Disneyword?

Super guy! Delta's loss is American's gain. We lost a good one. Why? We'll never know.

Does anyone know if that's true for pilots?
Your friend might be thinking about an internal referral rather than a recommendation. Anyone can recommend someone for employment anytime. There are referral programs for some work groups where you have to refer them before they apply or as part of their application or something like that.

That is a shame, but its good to hear that in this story he got his happy ending. I hear the psych experience can be wildly different depending on who you get. My guy was really nice, almost identical to the HR interview. But I have heard some of the other docs are a little bit tougher, some mentioned their experiences were confrontational even. Interesting stuff.

I've got the gouge for the interview but was curious if anybody has anything in audio format to help study? I will be driving from San Antonio to Yellowstone and back the week before my interview. I'd like to make those 40 driving hours productive if at all possible, any recommendations?

I had a two star F/O, almost impossible to work with, finally they put him in the training dept. The psych. guys shoulda caught that one, except he came with a merger.

Ballpark - How often has Delta been sending out the interview invite emails ... Once a month, weekly, impossible to say?

Yes, I would HIGHLY recommend an interview prep with Emerald Coast. Lots of audio material available from them to bring on your drive. I have never failed an interview in my life, yet doing that prep was the best money I've ever spent and truly made me feel more prepared.
