So what you're saying is those pilots or "monkeys" fooled the Delta interview panel and aren't truly worthy?

I was in AC upgrade on the KC-10, but hadn’t logged any PIC when I got hired through SSP. Off the street I assume it’s considerably harder.

We had about 3 in my class off the street with no PIC. They tended to have a good amount (several years worth) of SIC.

Anyone know how long people are waiting to hear "Invite, Fix-it," or nothing, once an internal rec has been submitted?

Everyone in the US has the opportunity to go to college. You have to want it. You might have to work two jobs and take a bunch of night classes and summer classes but you can do it and not have a mountain of debt.

Say what?

Stop raining on his pity party. He is a millennial and someone owes him a college education. Coulda gotten a military ROTC scholarship or applied to an academy or done whatever the other thousands of pilots before you did to make yourself as competative as possible

Default disqualifying accident

Hello all,
I apologize in advance if this is not the right place to ask this question.

I did a search and found some relevant info but I would appreciate if I can get some fresh info.

One of my friends has an accident on his record. This was about 13-14 years ago when he was a CFI. He's currently flying overseas as a wide body captain. He thinks he missed out on job/interview opportunities when he tried prior to 2010. Different context today obviously.

He wants to know if an accident like his would automatically disqualify him for an interview at DAL.

Thanks in advance.

Specifics matter, but I have a friend with a recent accident on his record where he (unjustly) was assigned 100% of the blame. He was hired in '15 and is now an SLI. So yes, you can get an interview, be hired, and be successful with an accident on your record.
