You misunderstand the reason for my post, I'm not complaining about the rate of hiring, I'm very pleased to see it really picking up! This thread used to be full of information about folks getting emails for interviews with their qualifications so you could get an ideas about how you compared to who was getting the call. Now, its turning into just another regional gripe fest like so many others.

I think he was disappointed he wasn't getting called, but I think it's a little early in the hiring spree to get all disappointed. There's always the EtD though

While I love a good DCI/UAX/AE speculation thread as much as the next guy, can't we just start another thread about it? For a while, this thread actually had me hopeful that Delta interviewing and hiring was accelerating. Hell, I even got a "fix it" email myself a few weeks back (missing high school info) and started to get really optimistic. Now I come on this thread and it looks like all the others. Can't we just have one thread where folks can come to get info about Delta hiring?
Sorry... Rant over.
Anyone gotten a "fix it" email or interview invite lately? I'm hoping they're getting down into the stack where us RJ line guys are. Best of luck to everyone on making a step up in their career soon!

Well, I think the flying will go back to mainline as DCI implodes. The problem is the way that flying comes back. As I see it, there are two ways it comes back. Either they operate them at the mainline at mainline rates, or they come on board at our C scale type wages. The difference between the two is that they have to throw a ton of money at guys like Tsquare to get the C scale; He's licking his chops at that.
While there aren't rates for an E175 or CRJ700 yet, the CRJ900 overlaps almost exactly with the E175 anyway especially at DCI, so I don't think that would be a stumbling block at all.
Those rates are:
128/hr year one up to 140/hr year 12 for the CRJ900 and the EMB 195 is 150-164/hr.
FO rates are 70 first year going to 95-112 top scale depending on which variant. That's hardly a "C scale" although I would like to see the 190 brought to 195 rates instead of being included with CRJ900 rates, but that's JMHO.
All with mainline work rules, benefits and 15% B fund.
And that's what the company could instantly do whenever they want. I don't think the DCI crisis will ever reach the point where the company will want 50's at the mainline, but you never know I guess. But long before that ever happened, there is room to transfer the larger RJ flying to mainline and the pay in place to do so tomorrow if they wanted to.

Not sure how you define C scale in this case. There are already "mainline" rates for E190-195 and CRJ900.

Your post.... fail.
And.. not that I really care, but it is refreshing to know there are guys like you that have so little faith in their fellow pilots and potential future co-workers. Makes me just ecstatic to work with you someday.
