I didn't get an e-mail confirmation of my interview date.

I was very lucky to be towards the front end of that hiring wave. There were LAX and SLC slots for newhires in class in 08. I'd almost bet money we see 2014 hires in SLC on this bid if we ever see the results.....might even be some unfilled slots if they backfill everything.
You think so? Wow. I've had a bid in for SLC and SEA and Lax all equip since I've been hired in 2010 and nothing.

Just leave early enough to give yourself time to get a cup of joe over at the cafe. I saw a guy last week that was obviously late for something at 0800 and looked rather panicked at the guard shack. He looked like an interviewee, but his tie was blue, so maybe not. Anyway, don't be him.
Got it. When inquiring the hotel, already told him that I would like the 0645 van since they only leave every 45 min.
Maybe over killing it, but if I dont get the job it wasnt because I didnt try hard enough.
How soon in advance should I expect the email with flight itinerary info and interview schedule details? (if even there is one)

You will get an email the Friday prior to your interview confirming the date of your interview along with some FAA PRIA forms to have filled out for your interview. You will get a separate email directly from Delta (just like if you bought a ticket) that has your travel info, if flying in.

Good luck.

You wont see the interview schedule until you show up the morning of day 1. They schedule the day alphabetically, with the first 3-4 last names interviewing in the am while the others test in the am. After lunch, vice versa.

Yeah I think so. Between SLC, LAX, and SEA there are 88 new positions on the West coast on this bid. Add in the pilots that may bid back east for some of the slots back there, and I think you will see 2014 hires getting SLC and some unfilled positions here IF they backfill all the positions that are bid off of. This is really the first bid since early 2008 that has seen any real positions on the West Coast.

Default SLC for new people

If you had gotten the 320 in the first couple classes you could have bid to SLC on the AE just out.

The new plug in Slc is a June Newhire. Plug in SEA is an '08 hire
