Oh I know why! My schedule is not the best, but commutable. If I lived in base, I'd do RSV too, in a heart beat.

Nope. We've hired guys older than that. Use any connections you may have to get some letters, and you'll get called sooner rather than later with those hours.

Your actually almost in the sweet spot for age. I would get to one of the job fairs and explain you had a interview scheduled. In the past they usually interviewed those guys first. Did our email address change and do you check your junk mail carefully?

I was thinking he probably got the "fix it" email, and missed it. Can't anyone tell airlineapps.com to get its act together.

I checked my email and nothing. Wrote DAL and said my app was still be reviewed and is active.

But hey! That's the first time I've ever been in the "Sweet Spot"!!

c. *spoilers, reverse, brakes

Leaning towards C, but not sure.

Also, for those that have already interviewed, are all the gouges out there pretty close to the test? Thx
I dont know the "correct" answer (my guess is B) but in the real world Manual Braking gives you the most "punch". I also would think if spoilers and reversers are inop, then all you have are the brakes.

I'm thinking B. In the Sim, we are taught to retard the throttles to idle (which activates autobrakes, apply full reverse (which activates the spoilers), and check that the spoilers do activate.

I've read a few books getting ready for the interview.
Naval Aviator
Mental Math for Pilots
Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge
Checklist for Success
and a few others this past month.

Im going to Atlanta in a couple of weeks. Im now trying to narrow down my studies. For those that have interviewed recently, are the gouges pretty similar to the actual test? Or have they changed the questions bank?

Trying to find out what spend my time on this next week.

Thx for all the help again. This is a dream come true. If they dont hire me, at least I tried my best.
Those first two books are worthless. The gouge gives u an idea what to study. Don't just study the gouge. Everything explained for the professional pilot by far is the best book and Pratt and Whitney's turbine engines ensured I got all those turbine engine questions correct.

I'd go further and say that none of the answers are correct as we are taught to continue the takeoff, if the failure occurs at V1 as the OP stated, because you will never initiate the rejected takeoff maneuver until you are well above V1 in that case, even with Yeager reflexes. Since that is not one of the options to answer, I concur that B would be the answer.
