Sailing,

I respectfully disagree. I’ve submitted 5 internal email recs over the past year and while three of the 5 have received interviews, it took months for that call to arrive.

On the other hand, I have three retiring mil bro’s that all did the DAL ATL-CTP and all three of them got interview invites within 48 hours of the DGS silver bullet once they were done with the course, and this was during this past summer hiring / interview slow down timeframe.

Were the other two apps pulled for screening?

An F/A-18 buddy has had his app in for a while, only to see (arguably) “lesser qualified” mil candidates receive interviews. Those candidates completed DAL’s ATP-CTP whereas he received his ATP through a local FBO. Would be a shame to see a “pay to play” scheme emerging, but admittedly I’m not familiar with the details of the program.
Yeah, cause spending 12 to 20 years in the military flying airplanes doesn’t make these “lesser qualified” candidates competitive (sarcasm). This is not a pay to play scheme. If your friend is highly qualified, an internal rec will result in an interview, especially once hiring spins back up again.

Unknown. All I know is I received the auto reply email saying that the Rec has been received by the pilot hiring department. All 5 were buds separating/retiring from the AF that received their ATP via the non-CTP route.

I would like to think that if special consideration is being given to DAL ATP-CTP grads, it’s because the instructors have seen first hand how they respond to instruction, how they fly the sim, and what it’s like to sit next to them in the cockpit for 4 hours, and not just because they paid Delta for the sim time.

Did you see the applications they submitted? Not saying it’s the case, but they may have an issue in their background or with their application that you don’t know about.

After having my app reviewed, the reviewer said he does not think I will get an invite to interview based on my PIC. Should I hold off using the ATP-CTP "silver bullet" until I have built more time? Does anybody know of folks getting an invite with similar or less PIC time? Thanks.
What service did you use for the review?

Yes I saw their apps...most of them had been reviewed by checked/set as well.

Anyone know anyone who's done the DAL ATP-CTP who hasn't gotten a quick invite? When I finally published my app and called to let them know, despite being told the interviews were slowing way down (this was back in early June), I still got the invite within two days with a date of "we'll call you" and it ended up being late July. Also had two internal recs, but I don't think that's what tipped it.

Apparently when folks arrive to the course they’re told that completing the Delta or Delta affiliated ATP-CTP course (through MIL2ATP IIRC) that their apps will be pulled for scoring shortly upon their request as a “perk” of using the program, but usually within 2 weeks.

A normal Line pilot LOR takes upto 3 months to pull an app for scoring apparently.
