Words directly from Capt Kraby's mouth, DAL will be going to 12 interviews a day instead of 8. He might have told us the date but my brain mostly shut off the second after he told our group we got our CJOs .

Is anyone getting emailed confirmation of interview dates?

If so, how soon after you called to set up interview did you get confirmation?

An online degree still works. Got hired in early 2007 with an online 4-year degree. Some of us had no other choice but to work and go to school. It is almost impossible to work a regional job and finish a college degree unless you do it online.

Agreed, and I wouldn't want to see DL or any airline turn their noses up at online degrees. While some places (and degrees) may be more difficult than others, there are many cases of gold standard work ethics and qualities any airline would love to get that got online degrees while doing other things like working full time, raising families and serving in the military (or sometimes all three at the same time).

I'd look more favorably on certain online degrees than many high school extension fantasy 6 figure degrees in ceramics with a minor in graduation any day.

I did online high school and talked about it in the interview. They had no problem with that of course after I explained it was due to me playing a competitive sport all over the country that they thought the online high school was interesting!!!

No internal recs. Nothing really that set me apart except Masters degree. Just an average RJ pilot. No military.
If someone knew exactly what they are looking for they would be filthy rich. Just do the best that you can and work hard. Your chance will come.
Any degree count. Of course, a Georgetown degree is years better than University of Phoenix, but online degrees are not looked down upon.

Also, for those interviewing soon, the majority of the 3 and 4 star hotels around the airport have complimentary shuttle to Delta Headquarters. You dont need to stay at the Hilton to avoid a cab or rental car. Im staying at a 4 star for 1/2 of what Hilton was charging.
All of the hotels will take you to the training center...you're right. However, don't wait until 0730 to grab the shuttle that just left for the airport, or that is going to the airport first. Then you end up busting your butt to get down there in time to wait at the guard shack (with pit stains now) to get your visitor pass with the 30 flight attendants doing the same thing. Just leave early enough to give yourself time to get a cup of joe over at the cafe. I saw a guy last week that was obviously late for something at 0800 and looked rather panicked at the guard shack. He looked like an interviewee, but his tie was blue, so maybe not. Anyway, don't be him.

Hired in July 07, Awarded SLC on the first bid, Advanced in Jan 08.

I was very lucky to be towards the front end of that hiring wave. There were LAX and SLC slots for newhires in class in 08. I'd almost bet money we see 2014 hires in SLC on this bid if we ever see the results.....might even be some unfilled slots if they backfill everything.
