The talent acquisition assessment is for flight attendants. Unless they just started sending it to pilots it should be for a flight attendant position.

Let me guess, now the prerequisite to being a pilot at delta is to be an FA for a year at FA wages before we can be a pilot? This is so we will have an even greater appreciation for what FA's do and also pay our dues since none of us could have possibly done that for the last 12 years !

Again, I can't stress what a slap in the face it is to Delta to imply that just because you meet someone you will get an invite. They have a process and if you app scores high enough you will get the invite. Going to a job fair will get your app scored if it hasn't already been scored and that may get you the invite. No one really knows how the application is scored but to imply that a community college guy that gets a 2.8 gpa in ten years of schooling would get an interview over a fighter pilot or an Ivy League college guy just because he went to a job fair is ludicrous.
All things being equal, a well qualified applicant with a properly filled out application will be much better off networking than not. If you get your app looked at and they give it the green light, how has networking not helped you?

I know networking was the key to getting my app looked at and then getting hired.

Well said. I agree completely. It is my understanding that there are a large number of qualified apps in each Tier. As an example, if two pilot's apps were scored into Tier 1 and neither has yet received a call, but one of the pilots does some networking and gets his app pulled and scored again triggering a call sooner rather than later, I would say that pilot benefited from networking. Did it get them the job or the interview? No, their qualifications, background and experience did. But it may have gotten them the interview earlier.

I certainly can't come up with how your chances would be harmed by networking, unless you made an @$$ out of yourself to whomever you are trying to network with. In that case, that type of person was probably never going to get the nod in the end anyway.

Last I heard all applications have been reviewed and scored. Has anyone heard differently?

I heard more were added yesterday and today, so not ALL of them have been scored.
