If most of the apps have been reviewed and scored, how often does one get another look? I received a fix-it email back in Sept. Crickets since then... I know lots of us are in the same situation. Any idea how often our apps are reviewed assuming we are regularly updating? Does another email to the pilot recruitment team from our sponsor trigger a new look? If we have a significant update on our app like SEFE/NATOPS would that flag our app to be reviewed again or does a computer score it and if it meets a certain criteria then human eyes look at it? Any ideas how the process works? Thanks for the info!

What does this mean? Did several people wake up this morning and all the sudden decide they are go to fill out airlineapps?

Not being sarcastic. I've heard this before and not sure what causes this. My understanding is once you fill the app out and publish it, it's there for scoring.

It's actually a slap in the face to Delta to imply that networking is the key to your dream job. Delta is a world renowned company and to think they just hire you because your their neighbor is an insult. They have a process and some don't like it but the truth is, it's a very fair process. I would be upset if Delta was hiring just anybody because they networked which doesn't seem like a fair process. Please don't say networking is the way to an interview because it's not!
So they like to waste their own time and the time of others with all the job fair and multipile internal reference systems. Right. Just hit submit and wait, its all you can do.

What exactly is a PITA about any of this?

A multi million dollar career usually doesn't come easy. At least not unless you know how to write crappy music.

Just how easy and less time consuming do you think it should be?

Jus' Sayin'. There are 6700 replies to this thread....We're all trying to compete for the same positions. Multi-million dollar career in theory. As long as you stay married, invest wisely, and otherwise live below your means. There are plenty of broke ex-millionaires out there. Careful out there kiddo.

What would make it easier? Axe the psych people and just have the face-to-face interview with pilots. No TMAAT questions. A kid can dream right?
You think it's easy and fair of JB telling their candidates after waiting months and months in phase 2 that they've been disqualified? Or to go to a regional to build time because our phase 2 caused you to lose currency?

I know its a DAL thread. But there's my essay on why this process is a PITA.

Just my opinions. Doesn't mean I'm not playing. Just observing.

DL alone hired about 1000 last year and is hiring similar numbers this year. And the big hiring years aren't even here until later this decade. Only a couple/few hundred of those positions come from known programs/pathways, the rest are OTS. The other airlines are all hiring similar numbers all at the same time, most of which will likely increase.

The entire industry can't all get hired in the same year. Historically though, these are some of the best times the industry has ever seen for getting hired into a great job.

Those of us who interviewed in mid-Jan were told that Delta had 4500 apps on hand that had not even been reviewed yet. Every single one gets reviewed manually, eventually. Having a recommendation sent via email to the pilot selection team is the quickest way to guarantee your app will be reviewed. We were also told that they are still interviewing Tier One candidates, and that they are probably within six months of calling Tier Two candidates.
