As far as equipment it will most likely be a majority 88, 717, 73N, and 320. Probably not too many 7ER. Lately everyone has been getting NYC initially, but are able to bid to other bases within a few months.

E190 will start dropping to new hire classes starting late summer/early fall. I would expect you'd be close to prime for that. Still a 1-year seat lock with current contract, so you should be able to bid out of it before year 2 pay repeats year 1 pay on that equipment.

Quick question for those who've been hired: Are internal recs only helpful if they come from pilots at Delta? I know two flight attendants who've been there for 40+ years, just wondering if their recs would help me out at all

Mine were all from pilots but I believe any employee can help you via the internal site. I have to imagine it is only gonna help you.

I had a 40 year flight attendant recommendation and got hired. I don't think it can hurt at all.

What do they consider a high GPA at Delta?

I also had a recommendation (airlineapps and internal) from a 35+ year flight attendant who is a close family member and I got the job.

As an aside and this probably goes without saying but, I was told by a recruiter that you should make sure any internal recs come from employees in good standing. She said they get a good chuckle in pilot recruiting when they see applicants with recs from "problem children".

That's funny. My recs were from guys in their first couple of years. They are on their best behavior and haven't had a chance to upset anyone.
