Agreed, I assumed Peoloto was referring to the flow stuff. I’ve never had an FO run the actual checklist without me calling for it.

Either way, just a tongue-in-cheek joke my friend.

Sorry, DrunkIrishman.

I’ve had more than one FO begin a checklist on the ground without me calling for it. This is a schoolhouse issue.

I just call for the checklist after he starts, to make it official.

I have had a few Captains actually say to "start reading the checklists when you think it's time." So it's not just a schoolhouse issue.

I've had many a captain say the checklist response before I'm even done saying the item. Probably a reason guys are going fast.

I agree. Almost every captain I fly with says to start the checklist when I think its time. Several have said it's so they don't feel like they are rushing me. There are a lot of wheels to crank, dials to turn, and switches to throw from the right seat!!!

There are 5 B777LRs we could pick up but there seems to be no interest for more wide bodies

Maybe we need a new "spirit of Delta" and have the employees buy some slightly used 777's, I have a C-note for the effort... Even if they are domestic, it would be a great to add some more to the effort!

You need to have a route to profitably fly them on.

You don’t think it’s a little sad that the new hires are operating at a faster pace than you? Keep up grandpa! Or retire. That’d be fine, too.
