My uninformed opinion would be to have your friend do the rec. Even if they aren't doing interviews right now you still get your app higher up the list for consideration once they resume interviews.

I'm guessing they don't just disregard apps scored during a pause in interviews, rather they get put in line to be looked at once hiring starts again. So if you wait you could be delaying when your app gets scored.

Just got the word from Delta today to expect a formal invitation for the Dec. 10th new hire class in mid-October. I'm glad I was able to finally get some more information and to get a nice heads up from Delta about their plans this winter.

It has been a long wait but it hasn't dulled my excitement and I look forward to joining the team and hopefully seeing some of you in class this December.

I’m not sure if I can be much help, I’m coming from Endeavor and things are done a little differently here based on what program you were hired under. But I suppose the best estimate for me is June.

Delta has made various agreements with Endeavor to hire a certain number of our pilots per year so that may mean a different timeline for an off the street hire.

I was under impression SSP was finished, so are you DGI? Or possibly ETD?

Buddy of mine interviewed 11 Apr, CJO Day 2 on 12 Apr. He received email yesterday stating he will be in 10 Dec Indoc class.

Will he be in that Dec 10th class or has he been hired somewhere else in the meantime? Curious as to what the effect of an 8 month CJO to class date lag is having, if any.

That was one of the first cjo groups to get delayed. I wonder how far the "dec 10" emails stretched in terms of cjo dates. I was early may and recieved the other email with unspecified date
