On the flip side, I had to slip my training for 3 months (summer '14) for commitments at my previous employer. Delta, to their credit, was supportive the whole time. It also gave me a chance to be home for both my kids birthdays and a family vacation before becoming the company plug. I've never regretted it for a second.

I had a old Navy buddy who had a class date at NWA while we were at the tail end of contract negotiations. He decided to delay his class date 1 month so he could relocate his family. He ended up being in the first B-Scale class instead of being on A-Scale.

True. However, as soon as someone hits "submit" on their app, they should've already been studying and prepping for the interview.

Nah. Not when guys have been waiting for years for an interview! But I get the gist of your point.

Right, to an extent. Main concepts and General HR stuff down. A month or two for final prep I think is well worth it.

Actually it should be "I can be there tomorrow, today if necessary!"

I'm sure I'm spitting into the wind with this question, but the word I'm reading is that your app will not get scored again after not passing the first scoring triggered by an internal even if more internals are sent. My first internal was sent a year ago yesterday and 60 days later I received a fix-it with nothing after. Is my one year stint in the penalty box up yesterday? The date the internal was received...scored...fix-it...arbitrary?

Obviously I know it's all best guess...but the best guess here wins. I've got a buddy waiting to hit send until my year is up.

Thanks!

Also had a question about the "one year" wait after an internal rec. Does the one year wait apply to a single event like an internal rec or a job fair, or any combination thereof. Basically, would the app be re-scored again in under a year if say you attend a job fair if you heard nothing from an internal rec. Hope this post makes sense. Thanks !

Although I didn't get an answer to my question, I did get an interview invite yesterday! One year and 2 days after the first internal was submitted and 10 months after my fix-it. Who knows how, but it works out.

Time to prep...
