They've already waited too long to hire/train. My credit for March is 124.5 hours & my April line was constructed at 87:55. I think run of the mill green slips are going to morph into green slips with conflict this summer...on a regular basis. I'll be laughing all the way to the bank. I think someone FINALLY got through to Anderson about getting ahead of the delivery/training/retirement bubble coming 2-3 years from now...and I think the ship has already sailed. We're all going to flying to the far's for the next 5 years.

I think a lot of us got the OK to train letter which had a quick and confusing follow up, leaving it unclear whether we were actually cleared to train. I called back to the hiring office. They looked at my profile and let me know that I was marked as OK to train. I don't know if it was the same for everyone but my initial thought is that if you got the e-mail, you are cleared and the second e-mail was for expectation management irt start dates. Jan 21st interview btw.

New guy reserve question. We are trying to decide if a move to domicile will make life significantly better. I know DAL does long call reserve, but I have no idea how that is applied in the real world. How does that work when you don't live in domicile?

You need to WANT to live there and you need to realize that smaller domiciles are in danger of being closed in the future.

IE in the middle of a reserve stretch Delta calls at 7pm you get a min of 12 hours of rest and have to be available at 7 am in your base.

This is my opinion as a commuter. If there is a DAL domicile you WANT to live in, then you will get back a significant chunk of your life, have less stress, and be able to make more money as a non-commuter.

What domiciles do you think are in danger of closure?
