Probably. There are quite a few items that pertain to entry-level pilots only. No hotel during training after Indoc either.

There is a list in the back of the room when you go to Indoc. There are plenty available. If you need your own room, a lot of guys just stayed at the Holiday Inn where the van has scheduled service to/from the training center. $55/night there.

Unless you are on the 320 then if you use your personal set plug the shipset back in. We have Telex 750's for shipsets and 90% of us use the shipset. Backwards from all other Delta aircraft. I won't bid off the 320 because we have a hot mic intercom.

Yep - they also swap out the buttons. Forgot about that but it was included.

On the 717 we have the Telex as well. In my limited experience it has been about 50% usage.

Ha. That was what I felt like every day I flew the 88. It's crazy we don't have intercoms in the planes. I'm now half deaf in my left ear so I guess I will have to at least fly that plane in the left seat for a few years so my hearing evens out.

In training they said the 88 was very quiet. The engines are a long ways back so you don't need a headset. Right....

Instead of doing the hotel thing I went for a higher priced crashpad ($400). I brought down a car and rented the bottom of a ladies house which has it's own entrance.
