One of the latest rumors I heard was that the Jan 13 class was only going to be 14 people with no back fills. Just 9 Mesaba flows and 5 off the street. Aren't rumors fun! :D

The first class after a lull in hiring is tyically smaller than other classes. I would expect the size to increase significantly as they get things going.

I thought they had to offer those positions to current pilots first. The unfilled vacancies would the go to new hires. Were there unfilled positions on the latest AE for the 320?

Many NYC 320Bs left on the last bid. Few, if any backfilled.

Just checked. There were 15 320B positions offered (only in ATL) 17 were filled. Some were likely backfills but I'm to bogged down with training to look that closely.
However, there were only 9 ATL M88B's filled and 2 NYC M88B's filled.

In conclusion there were 31 unfilled ATLM88B's and 18 NYC ATLM88B's unfilled.

That appears to be the current offering for new hires.

I keep hearing DTW, but I haven't seen a single vacancy. It's going to be NY or ATL right now on the Maddog

Thanks for explaining that!

That said I bet a few classes into it and for a long time most new hire classes will have at least 3 aircraft and 5 or 6 AC/base combos at least.

I'll have to double check, but there were a good amount of NYC 320 positions open from what I remember.

I didn't look at any backfills, only the originally posted AE #'s so I was basing that on the fact that only ATL320B's were posted and filled. I'm sure there is some back wash...err fill in there if you want to work up a nice chart for us. I need some color and lines to follow! :D

I expect ATL 717b openings in the Feb ae. FWIW

Two contract questions...

Can any of the SSP folks chime in on whether their contractual agreement will result in them receiving a class date prior to their fellow interviewees?

Additionally, could any Compass folks provide insight on whether their contract requires Delta to not fill their empty seats with street hires?

I heard that the jan 6 class will contain the last of the folks who are returning from furlough.
