I guess a positive to this is that a few guys with multiple offers may leave the pool.
Mike,

I know several from Oct. 17 and the second week of interviews that have not been given classes. Just trying to give you some good info.

I amended it for that then. It was rumored that they are heading for the 17th.

Cozter, It is a live feed on the document... Understanding how rumors go, it bounces back and forth a bit as I'm just adjusting info as it's messaged to me.

MFMT, like all pioneers you may be loved or hated based on the accuracy of your data. Looks like those later in the flow have more likelihood of being surprised than disappointed (great plan - underpromise and overdeliver). I am sure as the flow starts, it will get more and more accurate. Very appreciative of your effort, even if it just keeps me (us) from biting my nails.

I'm no pioneer... Just a data entry assistant.

Here's a worthy update for folks to see. It's been confirmed that the ssp numbers for Oct and early Nov are pretty good. I've pulled SSP data completely out of the math and the right column now reflects the true street numbers.

Does anyone know about Oct 24th?

More info...

I spoke to Delta today (they told me to check in after the new year). Very polite but couldn't provide anything remotely close to a date for training. Promised not to hold them to any thing they said but said they just didn't have any idea as things are just starting out. As I said in an early post, I was a Mid/Late December hire. They said to check back in late Spring or early Summer and they'd have a better feel. So that tells me their initial talk of Spring/Summer looks more like Summer/Fall (at the earliest...?) for off the street hires from December. I've got another active duty military guy I know who was hired in November. If I get any words from him I'll let you all know.

Just so there's no confusion here, none of you are hired until you are sitting in class with an id badge. Right now you have conditional offers of employment. If the company decides they don't need as many pilots as it offered interviews, it is very possible for guys to never see a class date. It has happened before. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Interesting that we've heard everything from "You guys are at the front of the biggest wave we've seen in decades" to "Hopefully we'll see class dates." I suppose all the conjecture will be answered when the class dates start flowing and we get a sense of what it will really look like.

Happened to me before.

In all honesty, preparing for it to happen again.

So given the email I received this morning... now the question - do I hope for an earlier class, or hope for one that starts after "the 13th month following [my] initial hire date..."

I think I'll be hoping for the earlier class, but if it goes later, I get a pretty nice consolation prize.
