It was a surge for the summer hiring for the increase in flying. With the reduction in European flying along with the fall slow down there will be little to no need for newhires on the ER. Our hiring update include need on the 73,88, and 717 going forward for the rest of the year . Also look for Airbus positions to pop back up as we start taking delivery of the new 321s.

Agreed but for the fall time the and the reduction of flying on the ER will lead to most new hires headed to the airframes I mentioned above. This came from last months crew resources update.

How long are you committed?
As a new hire, how long are you locked into your assigned aircraft/domicile? Is there a minimum required time before you are permitted to try to bid something or somewhere else? Obviously seniority plays into likelihood of anything actually happening.

Domicile = no lock (i.e., you can move to the same aircraft/seat at a different base, availability & seniority permitting)

Hey guys/girls, if anyone needs a room to rent while in training, we have one located in the Vinings, in our condo. Private bath, central air, walk in closet, wireless, gym on property, pristine pool, stainless/ granite kitchen, quiet desk setup in your room, bars and food across the street, 20 min drive to the delta campus via 285. Short term rent (weekly) if needed. Let me know If you need more info or pics via pm. Good luck in class! Room available starting in late July.

can someone provide me with some healthcare info? or give me a place to look it up on DLNet? Family of 3 including myself and the wife really wants to get off of Tricare reserve select so just curious how much that would cost with DL healthcare?

As I'm waiting for indoc to start and contemplating life outside the AF, the fam and I are trying to decide where to move. I'll be working part time for the Louisville KY guard, which is only 1.5 hours away from KCVG. I know KCVG is the smallest domicile. Any one know if it is shrinking, growing or staying the same? Are there talks about it going away? What are the chances of a new guy getting to KCVG quickly? I'm guessing the MD would be the fastest route.
I know I'd be junior there for quite a while, but figure being junior and sitting reserve from the comfort of home would beat commuting even if it was to a line? I am more concerned about QO-family-L. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Are there other better options, maybe an easy commute from Louisville to another domicile?

I'm not a delta guy but have a few in my sq and they all have stuck with tricare. Said it was a bit cheaper and just as good if not better coverage.
