Some news from the DALPA MEC meeting going on now in SLC (tweeted last night from @Delta_MEC_Comm). It's not much but it's something:

Pilot Head Count – near term changes
318 pilots will not be needed in the near term due to cancellation of E190 orders

Fall - Winter class sizes decreased from >100 to 40-70 per month
Final adjustment pending network block hour plan

Remaining Compass flow through pilots will be about half of the class contingent

With 20 Compass flows per month from August-October, that's 60 pilots. If half the class contingent is Compass that means 30 slots for the rest. Endeavor SSP is 17 a month, that leaves the OTS at a very small number.

Love to here from some recent (this/last week) CJO folks as to what AK is saying now. At 30 Jul he told us Dec/Jan....these last few posts appear to cast some doubt on that.

Unless they know something we don't, which is entirely possible, it will be later than that. I'm a mid/late June and they told us aug/sep. If it stays the way it is we are looking at Feb for us.

Sounds like some posturing by the company and perhaps the remaining "yes" voters on the MEC. The 190s weren't coming until the 4th quarter 2016, so zero pilots were needed for those airplanes in the near term.

Wonder how long DALPA will slap the pilots's wrists for the no vote?

Tunes...I am a late May CJO holder and AK told us NLT Early August...well, I'm thinking December based on the poolie spreadsheet...bummer.

Somebody gets it!!!

There is sim construction and a lot of displacements coming off the 744 which is reducing sim availability. This is just as paxhauler posted... posturing. Read AK's most recent memo for accurate info. This is more dALPA bs.
