I can confirm that the class size for March 7th has been reduced to 24. I am not sure why but she said she got through some of the July 8th interviews but not all of them.

I currently have heard from 18 of the 24 invites. I am missing 6 other invites to determine where everyone sits. Please PM if you have an invite for March 7th so I can give you an idea of where you might sit in class for now. I am missing some from July 7th and July 2nd and the few in July 8th.

"E" period is 2200-0400

1+30 brief, 0+30 debrief, 4+0 in the box.

Contractually, only new hires and LAX 73N pilots can be assigned an E period. If you get an upgrade or requal captain as a training partner, you'll get Bs and Cs. Also, training happens 7 days a week.

Thx for the intel. So much for no 0-dark-thirty shows....

That's too bad. Hope that doesn't continue. Looks like I'll be pushed to April now.

Not that it helps too much, but the times above are the brief times.

I wonder if all the future classes will be 25ish...

Uhh, no. Those are the complete period times. You really think we brief from 0500 to 1100? A six hour brief?
0500-0630 brief
0630-1030 sim
1030-1100 debrief.

0500-0630 brief
0630-1030 sim
1030-1100 debrief.

Sorry, I was just trying to clarify the earlier post that a 0500 sim period is the brief time, not the box time with the brief time added to the beginning of that.

Don't sweat it. I knew what you meant.

Good grief, let's hope not. This pool is definitely not draining as fast as they seemed to indicate it would. Bummer....

Keep the faith, amigos.

I had upgrade capt for sim partner (thank God) and we had plenty of A and D periods. What you can expect is 4-5 days on and 2-3 days off on average for the month. You do get positive space travel to and from training. Most sim instructors were cool and asked if you were trying to catch a flight after the sim to try to help out if they could. You can reasonably catch a flight with a departure 45 minutes or so after the end of your 4 hour container time. The debriefs are usually all done real time and very short (5 minutes) unless you porked away the sim.
