Of the March classes so far, 8/11 were hired on the 15th, 9/10 on the 16th, 5/7 on the 17th. Not sure if all survived the first day, the 6 of 10 from today's class. Last week Pilot Selection told us to expect May indoc classes.

February, not sure of the breakdown, but there were 19 CJOs.

Default New Hire Dinner Dress for Wives?

My wife is asking should the dress be cocktail length or ankle length? Any recommendations?

I have a very competitive app, current chief pilot with a 121 carrier (low on the PIC but at least 500 hours), 5000+ hours 121 time, internship at a major that is no longer around and had a red tail , 4 year degree, clean driving record, no DUI's, no 121 failures, volunteer, polished app, gone to job fairs. Just curious what needs to be done to get an interview...I see people leaving left and right for FedEx, DAL, UAL, AAL, Alaska, SWA, but can't get a call, I've networked, networked, networked...still nothing
Not to bum you out but it took me 25 months to go from fix-it to interview invite....

In reference to the new hire dinner....how many guys go solo?, ie, no wife/girlfriend? My wife doesn't care much for these kind of things.

Almost a third of my class were solo due to weather and flights being cancelled. No big deal if you're solo but if weather is good you might be the only one.

I rolled solo, as did a few of the married guys. No biggie, it makes the after party more fun! But I'm single so YMMV...

I'd say about 4 people from my group were solo due to child care or single. 1 guy even forgot to introduce his wife, he was probably going solo later that night for a bit.
