Thanks
In general, in most categories, the shorter and more efficient trips tend to be taken first, by the more senior pilots. The longer, 4-5+ day trips tend to go junior.

Thanks

Jeff M. Johnson from Wings West?

To expand on Timbo's comment, I can address a specific category, 7ER. There are three day ocean crossings that can be quite efficient. Some are three man, some four man. West coast to Hawaii three days are only 15:45. But you tend to leave late and return early; many with 38-ish hours away from base. To build a line of high efficiency three days you need some seniority. But to score one here and there, along with some less fruitful three days, is feasible down low on the list.

Good luck with your interview.
