Isn't it the job of a newhire to inject new perspective? These people arrive at Delta equipped with a lot of experience and knowledge, though not always Delta-specific.
The question is how they behave in this APC conversation. Here, they are judged on what they say, and the credibility of their posts, not their company longevity. I'm all for relentlessly pounding on someone for writing like a freakin' idiot, but let's not get into the habit of discounting newhires because they're newhires.
Everyone is welcome into the arena. Just be prepared to die... I didn't read Oberon's stuff, so I'm not sure whether it deserves a thumbs-down. Let the crowd decide...

The Crowd did read his stuff, and they have decided.

There are certain logical conclusions which are irrefutable.
1) If he is made of wood and weighs the same as a duck then he is a witch.
2) If Delta makes $1.6 bil in one quarter and Ed is sleeping well then the pilots need at least a 25% pay raise on day one.

American is the new main competitor.
RA bumped the FA pay just in time to force Parker to beat it for his FAs.
The American pilots are days away from a TA with our rates plus 5%. Would RA bump our rates 14% now just to make Parker match plus 5% for his pilots?
There is no avoiding our increases. Pay us now or pay us later.
