IMO that is a certainty and a huge mistake. It needs to be handled separately. This settlement both in monetary damages and new stronger language will be crucial for the Delta pilots. Outsourcing our international flying is the new battleground. Hopefully we take a stand and get meaningful new scope language with immediate penalties.

From the opener it looks like we opted to increase the value of a vacation day vs another week. I agree this is the best choice.
Today we top out at 113:75 hours
For comparison
Jet Blue 180 hours
FedEx 216 hours
UPS 175 hours
Alaska 143.5 hours
UAL 136.5 hours
At the very minimum we must hit 4:00 per day. This would make our max 140 hour. 35 days x 4:00/day.
Hopefully much more. I see no reason why a vacation day should not be the same as ADG 5:15.

We need better vacation days long before we get more vacation days.
Adding a 6th week of crappy low credit vacation is a unicorn that only benefits a few towards the end of their careers, and doesn't even do that great of a job at that. A higher value vacation day benefits everyone, all the time, for their entire career. No brainer.

Our vacation is sorely lacking. Anything less than 5:15 a day is a fail IMO. I also believe a 6th week is achievable:
20 years: 6 weeks
15 years: 5 weeks
10 years: 4 weeks
This is big value. Every 25 hours in additional vacation is roughly a 2.5% increase in compensation based on a 1000 hour year. Even more if you choose to fly less!

How do you quantify 170 hours? I have 5 weeks vacation now. A newbie doesn't even have a full week in many cases. What does average mean?

On the subject of more money per day verses more guaranteed time off I guess the forum is voting for cash rather then time off. Seems contrary to many past posts. I prefer knowing in advance I have a week off the company can't use me.
