Exactly how could ALPA use some changes and improvements?

No, I didn't describe anybody, and I'm not backtracking. It was a complete sentence. Read it and interpret it as one.

THAT is correct!

Count yourself as a loser if you can't comprehend how others could hold a perspective or priorities that are different than yours, so you allege some corruption of the process (or participants) for the results.

It was a vote. Your vote was cast on the losing side.

Own it.

I like block status representation, with protections against having all reps from the same base.

There should be videotaped candidate debates available to all voters in the council. (The moderator should be someone from another ALPA carrier)

I'd like to see LEC and MEC meetings streamed via video on the secure site.

I think there should be term limits.

ALPA needs to improve the response time (staffing?) of Scheduling assistance. We have a couple of committees that have 24/7 coverage for assistance, but not Scheduling.

LEC meetings should be monthly, at the airport, and feature SMEs on a rotating schedule.

ALPA should reinstate the Forum.

Oh I think everyone has interpreted your complete sentence Karnak:

Calling those who voted no "losers" doesn't help you one bit and just makes you look arrogant. People like you are why the DPA got so much momentum in the first place. Sickening.

All great ideas Karnak. The term limits alone would probably be the single thing that would quickly move us towards implementing all the other ideas.

Absolutely 100% agreed on this.

See above.

I know this from my reps and the reps of other bases as told to me by friends from other bases. There is no question that happened. None.

Feel free to join Karnak and Falcon in defending that MEC administration. Lots of people here remember exactly what happened...despite this occasional attempt to revise history.

Almost all of it very one sided, and some flat out misleading.

Again, nobody said you were. You're the only one making that accusation as shown by the beginning of your post. Most of the DALPA apologists follow this exact same template. Throw out a completely false premise, then put forth a passionate fight against your own false premise. Imagine the coincidence.

There is no point arguing with you when all you do is insult people that disagree with you.

I wasn't forced into voting for anything, I understood the deal. I have never heard my reps say they were forced, duped or tricked into anything. This sounds like a made up story by people that were upset about losing a vote. CONSPIRACY!!!!!!

Your attempts at spin and deflection aren't going to work. You referred to those of us who voted NO as losers. It's classic behavior from this MEC administration.

More spin and deflection. It wasn't because of the vote results that many reps and members pointed out the clear corruption of our processes. It was the fact that the MEC administration signed TA2012 knowing full well that it didn't meet the reps' direction. That single act was a corruption of our system that was greater than any I've ever seen in my ALPA experience. No allegations...fact.

I own all of my decisions as do the TA2012 NO voters. The reps forced that MEC administration to own their corruption of our processes by getting rid of many of them. The reps are on high alert this time for similar behavior, or a different attempt at minimizing their relevance in this process. Don't know if it will work because some of the old players have found their way back to the trough.

All good ideas that many here have talked about for a long time. Are you doing anything on the inside to persuade this administration?
