You really need to get over yourself. The Delta mindset/culture/MEC did some good things. So did NWA's. The Delta mindset/culture/MEC also did some terrible things. Do did NWA's. In so many ways, this was truly a merger of equals. It's still such a facepalming surprise when I see such examples of the undeservedly proud exhibited by folks like you, shiznit and alfaromeo.

No it's not false Alfa. I lived it. I was a Delta pilot for 2 years before I broke even with my premerger W-2. That's a fact. Many fNWA guys were in the same boat. I know facts don't help your narrative of NWA guys needing to shut up because they're so lucky to be here, but...
Nobody said they got screwed. Only you said that. Strawman anyone? We only said that it took a few years to gain back our fNWA W-2's after we went to Delta pay rates AND WORK RULES.
Carl
...First, almost every NWA pilot stayed on the NWA work rules throughout 2009, so when people say they took a pay cut because of DAL work rules it doesn't make sense...
...So we all got fewer hours in 2009 which was acceptable, but to hear that you got screwed in the deal rings a little false in my mind...

it is likely that many/most of the pilots displaced off the whale cant hold the 777, so yes, they will displace to lower paying equipment (capts...the FOs may displace to capt or something that pays less). However, Jerry's waterfall will be mitigated by A330 arrivals (IMO). So, it's unlikely there will be a cascade through the list.

Maybe YOU would like to send ME the $$$ I have lost so far this year from the DC plan vs what I was getting monthly, regardless of how little I flew, up until 12/31/13. If not, then don't pretend that it's not money that I'm not getting anymore, and that your chart is accurate.
Once again, don't let FACTS stand in the way of your agenda...

What are you missing? This:

We have had consistent annual returns even when it put us far out of our peers market. Please let me know what reasons there are for the differences between the left side of the chart and the right side of the chart. In my mind, we shook up the industry so much that even with those massive pay raises, they still have not caught up to us. I am sure you have a better explanation. Look at all those zeros on the left side of the chart and give me some explanation for those.
At the time of the merger, your A-320 pay rate was $139.00 per hour with an average of 6% defined contribution rate for an effective rate of $147.34. Now you have a pay rate of $203.21 with a 15% DC and an effective rate of $233.69. That is an $86,000 per year increase in 5 years and an average of almost 12% per year. I am not sure if you have paid any attention at all to the rest of the world during the last 5 years, but if you went to almost anyone who is not a professional athlete, you would find looks of shock and disbelief if you tried to convince them that nothing good has happened to you lately.

Show me the compounding on our executives 300% to 700% compensation increases since chapter 11.
You won't and we know why.
You and I both know the freight trains coming. The sales job talking points almost done.
Try explaining to anyone how the Delta pilots hourly rate is 18% to 20% lower than it was over a decade ago. Real people, real faces. No inflation. Record profits. Billions to shareholders.
You sold it once and you will sell it again.
Longer freezes are good!! This is a win! Disregard the loss of jobs. It's good to include the JV scope violation in this deal!
Funding our increases with profit sharing is smart!
Will the pilots buy in again? Will they believe the threats?
Will they believe their is nothing more on the table?
Time will tell.
Jerry
