The leaks/rumors/floaters don't always come from behind the doors of a closed session meeting. Some of them are like a "show bird" at the trap range. The clay target sails out, and now the other side knows a bit more about where to aim. Some of this stuff is pure garbage, but some of it is written to either prevent a democratic outcome, or to gain intelligence about the pilots' price point in MEMRAT.

But the average bear can't tell the difference. We're talking millions of dollars here, paid for with just a few well-placed words. Congratulations. Management now knows your lowest number, and is certain that APC is filled with complete loons. The latest super premium update from C20 touches on this a bit.

Now that's irony.

First of all to any extent that is true, it means we have a golden opportunity to buy it back low.

Secondly, the RJ rumor in the TA is one that is deeply concessionary by allowing even more DC-9-10 sized "large RJ's" which are the most viable part of that model right now. Every additional one they get breathes new life into the model by not only imroving the economics of it across the board, but also by allowing DCI to fly more pax with less pilots.

So even if you don't want to "pay for" reeling it in, you should still be against getting paid to breathe more life into it.

This. Oh and also SEA is a hub.

Payout Calculation PTIX Levels

This is from section 3 compensation I. profit sharing of the current PWA
Right. But we don't get 100% of the PS described in the PWA. That is the amount shared by the entire eligible Delta employee group, of which we get about 37%. So, our share is 37% of 10% (i.e., 3.7%) of PTIX up to $2.5B and 37% of 20% (i.e., 7.4%) of PTIX above $2.5B.

Big time! This is currently a zero cost item for them. Limit Alaskan Air Line to the low water mark of what they are doing for us now. The previous code share abuse can and will return. Maybe not with RA and record profits, although even he loved the AS abuse not that long ago with (at the time) record profits.

All its going to take is for DL's EVP of West Coast Pilot Hiring Brad Tilden (who sometimes moonlights as the CEO of Alaskan Air Line) to change his mind and decide to play nice with DL and our domestic growth there will come to a screeching halt and likely reverse.

Time to lock it down and lock them out of ever growing to cancerous proportions in the DL network ever again (they can grow as much as they want on their own who cares).

Personally I would like to see a bit more but will need to see the entire package to decide.
I'll lose the 0.5% if we can also lose the concessions.

You have to delay negotiations for at least a year before the RJ cost model mirrors mainline more. DCI is un-fuel-hedged, and is paying almost $2 less per gallon. The savings of DCI is worth more than the cost of the entire mainline pwa. Furthermore, the customer service scores with the exception of gojet are the same as mainline, with Compass actual being ranked a superior product to mainline(JD powers).

The RJ fight is going to require the solidarity of the entire mainline and DCI group, to reel it in.

They make it up in volume, and also by spreading 7 different operations wafer thin all over the country and eating massive operational degredations in an attempt to thwart the next CMR strike.

If the CDO debacle confirmed anything for us, as well as these recent LEC letters, we as line pilots are actually negotiting against the negotiating committee more than the company.

Still not sure how guys getting up and arms about rj, greenslip, lca and pay issues is a negative. I just don't see that.

The only problem it probably presents is for the NC.

I'm sure there's some no talent hack B-school ladder climbers that would like to ink billion dollar extentions for 50 seat lift because the flash in the pan actuarials make it seem more palatable with cheaper oil. Monetize the temporary Saudi assault on US oil production into a long term renewal of a failed business model, bonuses all around baybee!

I can only imagine what we will have to give up to prevent this. Or worse, what we will "gain" to allow it.
