Just heard some news from a very connected fellow voyager. Contract 2015 is going to be a battle, the company is seriously looking at pay banding and they want relief in that we are supposedly the least productive pilot group. Please don't shoot the messenger but this is a very reliable source. I am retiring very soon and will not be involved at all in the contract 2015 fun and games other than becoming a APC lurker. Good luck to everybody and stay united in the upcoming fight.
In all seriousness. Be safe. Enjoy the next 40 years!!!! Congrats.

Maybe some others wrote in to compliment the hotel you are talking about...just because your FCR wasn't acted upon immediately to your liking doesn't mean it "went in the trash"...there was a lot of negative feedback on the short JFK transportation issue recently, and it was changed fairly quickly.
In my experience the hotel committee has been very responsive to FCRs and is doing a great job, I thank them for their work.

Did Jerry hack your account?. I'm sure sailing, alpha, slow and the gang are coordinating a response now.

Weren't you hired seven years ago? How can you use first year pay tax returns to say how much better you have it? That would have happened without any new contract. Not trying to call you out I have just been tying to figure that out for a few days.

I guess the glory days of only working 16 days a month domestically will come to an end. Nothing last forever.....

We're not going to fall for it though. Even if we're told to fall for it, we're not going to fall for it.
We're very productive, especially considering the company chooses to have the least productive fleet mix in the industry. They get a revenue premium from that however, which is a small part of why we are a very high revenue per pilot group. They say productivity per pilot, we say revenue per pilot.
Case closed.
I don't think they really want banding as a means to an end. What they really want are longer freezes and FAR117 undoing soft changes like block time starting at wheel spin up and other schemes. Other than that, we don't have very much "productivity" left to give. Not to mention they could get massive increased productivity by simplifying fleet types anytime they want to. That is and always has been their choice.

I have a tough time imagining why, other than due to the way that the Company chooses to use us. Our rigs and guarantees are right in line with the industry, according to the last comparison, and our vacation is among the lowest in the industry.
Could it be because we have been overstaffed over the past few years and/or the Company chooses to build long trips?
