THE SAME GUY! Initials are RH.

He was involved in LOA 51 too, and a former CVG rep. He's always been an "Appeasement" guy. He was recently getting paid DALPA trip drops while 'consulting' for UAL on their SLI.

Capitulate early, capitulate often, keep the Delta money train rolling.

His brother is a financial guy, I wonder how many shares of Delta Stock they both own.

That would be the only rational explanation for this POS TA.

If our MEC cannot deliver us something BETTER than this, I think we do need to clean house.

Have you read the letter from the NYC LEC Chairman yet? Great letter.

We need to install him as MEC Chairman tomorrow!

We needed to install him as the MEC chairman a month ago.

That's going to be the key in this battle. There are unfortunately a large number of Delta pilots who don't attend road shows, who certainly don't read this forum and who are barely aware that we have a new contract, let alone know what's in it.
They have busy lives and don't want to be bothered. Union politics bores them.
They figure they pay a lot of dues to ALPA to worry about all that stuff and they will do whatever ALPA recommends.

Those are the guys who have to be reached.

Had a 747A guy poke his head in the cockpit to say hi the other day. He says, "Did you guys see the rates on the TA! $330/Hr! Wow!" He was almost drooling. I asked how he liked the sick time, EASK swap, LCA bidding, etc. Looked like a deer in the headlights. Said he hadn't looked at any of the other stuff because it probably won't effect him.

As bad as it is, if we don't somehow match the sales job the MEC is doing, it will be a close one.

Just catching up on posts, I will respond to some of the questions as I can here on the JV and anything anyone else has asked me.

To answer someone's FPL question. Its 4days. I got paid for one 4d trip to attend the MEC meeting. And the remainder of my time on here and elsewhere, lounges, phone calls etc. will be on my now time until we vote on a TA.

Parking the entire 747 fleet in 18 months will affect him, I hope you asked him when he was going to A330 school...

Screw a330. Ask h I'm about when he is going to C150 school.

Then when he asks what do you mean you can explain the JV.

But seriously, I'd fly a c150 for 200k per year over anything we have :D as long as the FA is cute.... and female. And my wife. Who is sitting right next to me...

Wow. You are laser-focused on rates. . Nowhere did I say anything about a specific pay rate increase I expected.

There are other forms of "gains" besides hourly rates.

Everyone else is focused on the rates and has had the mantra C2004 plus inflation. This contract with the pay rate increase plus profit sharing based on projected profits for 2017 gives us that.

Plus with the projected pay rates there is downside protection. This contract has improvements and concessions in other areas which are being debated.

It's about the money as well as QOL.

I'll bet you're right. God it blows feeling like our union is colluding against us with the company. Our numbers probably come out the third week of July.

I don't think those on FPL posting have an evil agenda. I think they're trying to get the facts out there. That said, they don't have all the angles figured out on this complicated TA.

I know what you're saying about "this environment". I think that too but I also look at APPL with 1/5 of a trillion in the bank and printing money and their employees are paid what they're worth. They're not all getting 100% raises. There is not a 1:1 correlation with profit to pay raise. I think our pay rates are based on what American just got. They got we were making based on our profit sharing. It's a vicious circle. We're not going to get pay rates 15% more than American plus a profit sharing check for 20%.

I actually agree with this point. My issues with this TA have nothing to do with Section 3.

During a time of record profits, AAPL isn't asking it's employees to shorten their lunch breaks or give up more control over which shifts they work at the Apple store.

It's the work rule changes in this TA that are a deal breaker for me.
