Professor,

Thanks for keeping a cool head and replying to all the inquiries. Seems like you're a one man show on that front from the ALPA side.

Could you lay out that 9% wide body growth by airframe and year for the timeframe covered by the TA?

Thanks.

It's not in the TA. So I cannot. To that end.

Please look at our current book for deliveries.

I'll revisit it if I have time. Promise.

What page of the TA has the 9% widebody capacity growth during the life of the PWA?

I fail to see where we are going to put 9% more wide bodies. the JV language states our share is 50% +/- 1%, meaning the can go as low as 49% or as high as 51%. The agreement with our JV partners for half of the flying, more or less prohibits us from flying more than our share. Our participation in the LHR is limited by the VA JV, we gave up the NRT hub concept. LA is constrained because we are not paying the officials in LA more than AA is to keep us out.
Where are they going to go?

It's not it the TA. That is public information based on fleet plans.

So they should have no pronlem locking that in with iron clad language with harsh penalties for noncompliance.

Right?

Yes, but because of being in a very junior category I am already bidding in the 30% realm a year in, so I get a fair amount of GSs offered. I hawk open time and have traded into a half dozen LCA trips in the last six months when they have been in open time.

Check your PMs.

One is a contract to balance flying.
The other is a projected wide body business decision.

I clearly all wide bodies coming will not be deployed in a single theater.

The guy that said he was stealing was out of line. Anybody that can use the contract to their benefit, I say more power to 'em. Sounds like the 30% on top of him in his category are clueless about how to use the contract if he is swapping IN to LCP trips.

The MEC Chairman can approve... an international partner carrier.. to use the Delta livery, markings, brand name on their aircraft.

...So Virgin Atlantic or China Southern can call themselves Delta, and paint their aircraft as such, and sell tickets using our brand, simply by His approval. Shanghai hub makes a lot more sense now. We just won't be flying it!!!

Ridiculous.

Where is this "red" section for all to read. Links would be great when discussing a source (but I'm not smart enough to execute this).

I then out that the contrails put out on June 5th had the exact section 9 timeline in it and it says 60 days unless there are mitigating circumstances. I don't see that being the case unless you consider just because the company wants it done as reason. So ask your reps.

Good....we could have the vote tomorrow and I'd be happy. I don't need a road show, sales job or more time to study this turd to cast my NO vote. The sooner we flush this turd the sooner they can get back to the negotiating table. I can live with the current contract while they continue negotiations. If the company really needs a deal soon, they can belly up to the negotiating table with a little more give than take.
