Another:

Currently, the Company operates 484 regional jets through their DCI partners. This number continues to drop as the remainder of the new B-717s are delivered. As part of C2012, a hard overall cap of 450 total DCI aircraft was established, and this agreement now lowers that cap even further to 425 aircraft. The Company must first take delivery of two E190 aircraft for each additional 70 or 76 seat aircraft it adds to the fleet. It also must eliminate the equivalent of two 50-seat aircraft for each 70 or 76 seat aircraft that is added. This creates an end state DCI fleet as follows:
o 75 50-seat aircraft from 125
o 102 70-seat aircraft from 102
o 248 76-seat aircraft from 223 allowed
Bold emphasis is mine.

In C2012 they basically said if you let us have 70 more CR9s we'll park 211 CR2s. A ratio of 3.1 CR2s for every 1 CR9.

Now it's 2 CR2s for every 1 CR9.

Those CR9s just ain't worth what they used to be. :D

What I would like to do is ask a network guy, what would be your ideal fleet given what we do today. DAL or DCI, per whatever metric you want to use over whatever time period, they cost the same.

My guess is no 70 seaters, no 50 seaters, about 350-400 76-seaters. That's my guess. So TA2018 we work towards no 50 seaters and then TA2021 we start replacing 70 seaters. imho only.

Can't wait to here DALPA sell this wonderful 1985 Yugo. The sad thing is there will probably be enough buyers.

The 1500hrs is killing the regionals. Why would delta want more rjs at contractors if they didn't have a plan to staff them. For the love of god make the nightmare end.

As an RJ driver, please do not vote for more RJ's.

That is correct. Hyperbolic but correct.
An A380 counts the same as a Cessna under the new deal.

Actually AF would get 5 A380 crossings for each Cessna crossing due to the Cessnas taking 5x as long! :D

C2015 Negotiating Transcript

Management: We want to get out from under our lack of compliance on the AF/KLM JV by swithcing to block hours.

DALPA NC: What will you give us in return?

Managment: .05 cents in per diem

DALPA NC: That sounds fair. Deal.

Management: We want more 76 seat jets for DCI.

DALPA NC: What will you give us for that?

Management: 15 minutes of vacation. Pay, no credit.

DALPA NC: Wow! you are generous today! Deal.

Management: We want to downgrade your sick leave you paid for with massive concessions in C2012.

DALPA NC: What will your give us for that?

Management: 1% increaase in DC. In 2017, we are a little short on cash right now after giving the shareholders billions.

DALPA NC: We understand and agree. The line pilots will love this.

Management: We want to take away hundreds of trips each month from the first officers by not releasing the LCA trips for bidding.

DALPA NC: What will you give us for that?

Managment: We will talk more to the hotel committee. Promise.

DALPA NC: Holy smokes! That is awesome. This is like taking candy from a baby. We truly are a team here at Delta.

Please don't vote for more RJs and please don't vote away top end scope. Regional guys like me don't want the regionals do be around either. We all want to fly for a major someday.

Sending in a DPA card is not the same as voting to change bargaining agents.

Since our survey results are ignored and feedback to our reps in some bases has been blown off, the DPA is the only leverage we have against "our" "union."

It's a sorry state of affairs.

The agreement reduces the total number of allowed RJ's from 450 to 425.

Professor promised DALPA's explanation for why the Facebook page was censored was imminent.

Well?

Wmuav8r 06-10-2015 07:05 PM

So is there any word yet on the Facebook issue? I am still unable to read any comments on there. Professor? Professor? That seems pretty shady.
It looks like the battle lines are being drawn to get that 51% yes vote. My faith in the "process" has taken a giant hit today. I am thankful my base reps voted no but equally disappointed that the other reps put this in our hands instead of manning up and doing their jobs. If they knew this deal was mediocre at best it should have never made it past the vote today. Now we may be just gullible enough to ratify it. Sheesh....
