I can't believe you guys aren't FURIOUS at the insult of a mgmt group that gets paid largely in co. stock and options (because of taxes) using record corp. profits to engage in a stock buyback scheme worth $5 BILLION to further enrich themselves while...at the same time...literally nickle and diming the DAL pilot group. AND trying to impose a medical scheme that they can subsequently threaten/coerce individuals with!!

The really sad part is the DAL pilot group has all the leverage now, not the other way around. Guess what? The suits in the penthouse suites don't think you guys have the collective guts to use that leverage. Look at your TA. They are laughing at you. Daring you. And sneering at what they (rightfully?) perceive as a completely neutered DAL pilot group.

Makes me sick just thinking about it. Filthy scum-sucking multi-millionaire mgmt leeches.

The LCA bidding thing is a huge QOL hit for FO's. I could go on, but those two things are enough for my no vote. I had let my DPA card lapse, but think i'll be turning it back in now. I'm in shock by this (in a way, but not really)

No, this one is actually worse. Regional I worked for had 4 sick calls in a rolling 12 month period (16 days) and you didn't have to verify anything.

Maybe. I could also see a quick round two after a no vote with really shiny rates that takes all PS away. Also, they have changed part of the equation in determining profit. Anyone smart already disect that piece yet? I heard someone explaining it and it didn't sound good.

This is my prediction. After seeing how toxic this agreement is to the pilots, management will walk back a couple items and insert another to take it's place. The union will again repeat "this is the best deal you will ever get and no way is it getting better, take the deal now!". Some will cave. Others will patiently wait for the right deal even if it includes the traditional contract negotiation track.

The question is, can management get enough votes to reach that illustrious 51%? They were smart to ask for the sun, moon and stars (in collaboration with their ALPA sales team). If they throw a couple bones back and get to yes they still knocked it out of the park. Not exactly the same but reference the CDO walkback exchanged for another hit to reserve call out times.

yeah it's ridiculous. OH, and the shiny new jets....oldest trick in the book and the union fell for it again!

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. Put out a POS that gets 40% yes votes then follow it with something that gets 51%. It's cheaper than the 60% deal right out the gate, and cheaper since some pilots will be conditioned to think the second deal is acceptable simply because it's better. Strategy. ALPA should look into some strategy too.

What did you expect from a team of 5th graders playing in an 8th grade soccer league?

Here's the first carrot.

Just so you know... don't let this influence your vote. I was made aware of the intentions to get more 739s months ago...

DeltaNet article about the TA and aircraft orders/replacements. FYI.

Years under this guys "constructive engagement" enroute to "mature contracts", slowly heating the water...we didn't notice it begin to boil.

We got lulled into a state of complacency. We have been writing letters fighting causes shoulder to shoulder with our management while they had Mike Campbell orchestrating a plan to decimate the rest of our contract.

I can't help but think back to the time we had the opportunity to bring Compass to Delta. Moak and his sales team made up every excuse in the book why it couldn't happen. So many blown opportunities. Now we find ourselves in a grave situation. We let our guard down and the water is now boiling. Do we have the fortitude and willpower to jump out of the pot?
