I won't speak for any individual rep but I think I can summarize their reasoning. Does the TA contain concessions? Absolutely. But-- It is worth $1.1 billion over 3 years. That money is on the table right now. Some reps felt that they could not deny that cash to the membership on their own. There's 12,000 Delta pilots. More than 19 guys need to make that call. That's the logic. You can agree or disagree. If we reject it can we get more? Can we get the concessions dropped or modified? Some reps think yes. Some think no. They passed it to us. Now its our call. That's how my wife responds okay that's fine on text messages. :D Still they'll need to overcome 3rd parties calling it cost neutral. http://www.bidnessetc.com/44993-delt...ffset-15-incr/ |
I haven't posted in years. There is nothing the union could present to me that would change my NO vote. Trips removed from PBS for OE. Really? How could any rep allow such a violation of seniority. Let alone all the other downward spiraling BS in this TA. Our current contract is better for me.

Check
It's to risky. In the history of Delta we have never voted down a TA. They should have not brought this to us. Let's hope we break the cycle and send it back for a change. |
I had hoped the reps would do the right thing (hear hear to the ones who did). I couldn't be more disappointed. Let's make sure we illuminate the truth about this POS during the next few weeks. I too am filling out a DPA card as soon as I hear Caplinger is gone.

I agree with express pilot. When do we actually get the TA in all its glory?
I agree about the DPA, make some changes and I'll send a card. |
In response to the upcoming roadshows:
Now, Captain Donatelli and others carrying managements water are gonna try to pull off a little magic act, they're gonna try a little misdirection. They're going to astonish you with stories of rituals and dazzle you with official sounding terms like "Historic". He might even tell you you're making more than American and Fedex minus their pensions. He'll have no evidence, mind you, none. But it's gonna be entertaining. When we get to the end, all the magic in the world will not have been able to divert your attention from the fact that C2015 still sucks, costs pilot jobs, allows more pilot pushing and did not follow the survey. These are the facts of the case. And they are undisputed. - A Few Good Men (with emphasis added) http://img.youtube.com/vi/MtmiLdzzgGE/0.jpg |
