1. E. 9.
Because it bares repeating. And will go unnoticed.
9. Except as approved by the Delta MEC Chairman, or as otherwise provided by Section 1 E., a carrier engaged in international partner flying will maintain a separate operating and corporate identity from the Company including, but not limited to, name, trade name, logo, livery, trademarks or service marks. The Delta MEC Chairman may, at his option, approve the use by a carrier engaged in international partner flying of a trade name, brand, logo, trademarks, service marks, aircraft livery or aircraft paint scheme currently or in the future utilized by the Company or any Company affiliate.
WHY was this added?
You know the answer, it's intuitive.

I don't want hearsay, I want the details of the AA pensions brought into any comparison, frozen or not. Are we going to have a fair comparison or aren't we? We deserve to see on the numbers.

Oh I don't know. Lets look at the three companies that the DAPLA Strategic planning highlighted via Facebook.
It compares our pay starting in 2012 with UPS, Fed Ex, and Southwest. I missed the part where it explained the 42% paycut that Delta Pilots previously took, and points out that none of the other Pilot groups took any pay cuts.
But to answer your question - Because it is still playing out.

Bender...I am a 15 year FO that was furloughed for 5 years, stagnated for the last 10 in a narrowbody and finally just starting to get some decent seniority and quality of life. I am not happy about the career progression but it is what it is. I will probably bid to upgrade in the next year. Some of us "whining" FO's don't want to jump on the first Capt upgrade to sit reserve, commute, live in a dump crashpad in Kew Gardens, fly crap trips, have crap vacation weeks, etc for an extra 10K a year and start at the bottom again. Its been a tough road for all of us. Some guys favor the QOL over money at this point. To be honest, 5 years ago I probably would have chased the cash, but now I prioritize the time off. I realize there are 12500 different opinions and lifestyles, and those opinions will likely change with age, but I would like to see a fair compromise that we can all live with and not sell out one group at another's expense. I think FO's are getting thrown under the bus on this deal. I would not do that to a fellow pilot. This is a union, right. Isn't that the basic premise of belonging to a union? In my opinion this contract gives us marginal raises funded via PS. In return it guts a lot of QOL stuff that we will never get back or will be difficult to get back and if so we will have to use a lot of negotiating capital down the road in future contracts.

Have you read the NYC Capt. Rep's letter yet? If not, go find it and read it. He specifically said this TA does NOT meet the Pilot Survey results, not even close.
He also said this is a lame TA given the historic concessions we have been living with since bankruptcy and the historic profits the company is making.
He also said this is a lame TA given the historic concessions we have been living with since bankruptcy and the historic profits the company is making.
The pilots’ mandate and the direction given to the negotiators never included making drastic sacrifices to important sections of our contract during such prosperous times.
Once AGAIN, the MEC administration DID NOT follow the direction of the MEC. They did what they wanted and dared the MEC fight back. By 11-8, the MEC caved. Now the MEC administration is daring us line pilots to fight back.
Exact same play book as C2012.

I know what you're saying about "this environment". I think that too but I also look at APPL with 1/5 of a trillion in the bank and printing money and their employees are paid what they're worth. They're not all getting 100% raises. There is not a 1:1 correlation with profit to pay raise. I think our pay rates are based on what American just got. They got we were making based on our profit sharing. It's a vicious circle. We're not going to get pay rates 15% more than American plus a profit sharing check for 20%.

1.E.9.
Mike Donatelli has this power the moment this passes. I think management wants this in here NOW for a reason.
