Anybody know when the voting will start and end? I'm a poolie so wondering if I will be able to vote or not.

Back in C2012 (pre 717) the actual MBH to RBH ratio was 1.19:1, that is for every Regional Block hour, there were 1.19 Mainline Block Hours. Remember that was before drawing down the 50 seaters and before adding the 717 and 739.

Maybe someone from ALPA can chime in with our current MBH to RBH ratio, It certainly will be higher than 1.19:1.

Just for kicks, considering a 25% reduction in DCI (approx 600 to 450 Rjs) and flat mainline Block Hours since C2012 would make our current ratio 1.58 (1.19:0.75)

Or flat RJ Block Hours since C2012 and a 30% mainline growth in block hours as slowplay claims would make the current ratio 1.54.

If indeed DCI shrunk by a bunch and mainline increased by 30% our current MBH to RBH ratio ought to be much higher.

How much "wiggle room" does the company get with the 1.81:1 ratio if we keep adding jets and DCI is being reduced?

Cheers
George

From the Scope Committee Report on the DALPA Page it is 1.35 which was reported on Jan 1 and that is when the report is run every year. It is likely to be at 1.55 -1:56 by next Jan.

No vote for you. Had to be off probation 1 jun to get a vote. Still a probie here so no vote for me either.

Two of the most items that have people fighting mad are the sick leave and LCA concessions. How much money do those two items really cost the company. After all, using the info we are getting from DALPA, sick leave is only abused by a few and the LCA change will only affect 2-3% of FOs. If these items only apply to such a small group then how much money could they actually cost the company?

The real money is the PS change which will reportedly save the company enough to cover our raise plus some. Which of the items does the company really care about? We need to make sure that we don't let the opposition control our focus.

Someone brought this up here a few days ago. What do we think would happen if the company announced, on say the 23rd, that the proposed changes to sick leave and LCA trips would be scrapped? I wager the TA would pass.

I may be wrong about this but it would be a masterful bit of negotiating by the other side. Tell us the number one priority is sick leave and throw the LCA trip grenade into the room to fragment the pilot group and keep the focus off the real issue (PS) . Did someone just pull the Jedi mind trick on us?

Any contract in the era of record profits should have a lot more money in it!

This is what I thought when I first looked at the TA. I thought it was so bad that maybe they were just trying to lower our expectations. Then when they make a few adjustments they think we will be relieved and be happy to vote yes. I think they knew our expectations were high and needed to knock them down a bit.

Think of it as we're on a mission to create as many threads as Delta has manuals. :(

How will that help us? You can't find anything in our manuals either.

Carl - Here all week. :D

UAL and AMR didn't seem to have that natural business cycle...

You were wrong in your analysis of 2012. The results prove it.:p

I pray to the 8 pound baby Jesus every night that I never have to fly a trip with you.

Since he prays every night to get back to a full time flight pay loss position on the DALPA MEC administration, he hopes he never flies with you too. Ever since he and Harwood got tossed after C2012, he's been fighting to back on the inside.

I wonder if there is a site where folks are congregating against this thing. It seems we are increasingly becoming more of an echo chamber of long time anonymous internet buds on APC.

I went to the Facebook anti TA page and signed up. However, I haven't been on Facebook in at least 3, maybe 4 years. I don't know how to navigate the page.

I'm a solid fear-free, happy with status quo, No phukkin way (thanks tumbleweed) vote. Easy, and probably bid to ER-A. This TA simply removes the benefit of being a money chasing and/or QOL chasing FO. This TA cements the reality that we are an un-appreciated number, not a person.

Deleted some of my further rant. Anyway, where's the congregation?

Slow is the perfect name.

Domestic block hours are up 30% and we added 500 pilots.

30% of 12,000 is 3,600.

C2012 cost is 3,100 pilots and countless upgrades.

IMO the concessions will stay and we are much more likely to see another 4% hourly and another 1% DC to sweeten the POS.

No No No
