One more thing, sailingfun.
I am willing to bet half a paycheck that at least someone can produce video evidence to the contrary from a roadshow.
Let's say you win that bet...isn't that admitting that DALPA sold "most FOs" down the river?

You can view it any way you like. I put in a WS to pick up a trip from open time in July. It was given out of seniority to a line check airman to perform IOE. Legal under the contract. Was I sold down the river? I suspect you will find that TA2 will still include some IOE mitigation for the company. What form that will take I have no idea.

If the 777A /744A is not replaced from below, then truly all we get is angels wings when a 777/747A retires. Right now, all we seem to be seeing is downward movement from the top as those positions downgrade if they dont retire and get their angels wings.
From a company perspective, up or down, it still generates training cycles. From our perspective, it prolongs stagnation while we see this flying outsourced to other carriers while our company, and our union seem quite willing to outsource this widebody flying while we are encouraged to take the domestsic leftovers.
Our chief competitors (UAL/AA) have far greater lift capacity in those categories than we have now or are forecast to have. Time will tell if flying that lift internally is the better option. Right now, it seems we will have to watch that play out as our "partners" do our heavy lifting.

Summary
Limiting OE/TOE rotation removal will likely have an impact on the line awards for many pilots. Like all parts of the tentative agreement, you should analyze this provision in context as part of the entire agreement, but with the realization that the actual impact of this change is relatively small.
