Well now it's like $675M lottery win.

I think I'd buy Delta.

Haven't you heard? Gold man. You need to buy Gold.

notEnuf 01-07-2016 06:59 AM

If you "need" gold, you will "need" guns too. The hottest commodity around right now.

forgot to bid 01-07-2016 07:11 AM

Guns are for pansies.

I'm buying tanks.

GogglesPisano 01-07-2016 07:45 AM

I just got a call that the I underpaid my taxes and the IRS is coming after me. I have to pay or go to jail. Also, I got a call that I have a virus on my computer and these nice people need access to my computer to remove it. I hope it works.

Isn't it refreshing to see total strangers so concerned about our well being.

If I had that kind of money, I'd do nothing. I would relax. I would sit on my *** all day. I would do nothing.

SO what are your texts saying now? Come on you started this ball rolling, what's the latest. You also said texts as in plural, so who do you know that multiple folks are passing this info to you? Inquiring minds and all...

4th floor is going to sign off on union proposal. Announcement soon.
I believe nothing, but, I want to believe this. So I ask if anyone else had heard this. The source is what got me curious.

As far as I can tell the company has not even scheduled a date for a second meeting after the 22 Dec opener and they have presented no counter formally or informally. I sure hope I am wrong.

I would guess the odds of this being true are somewhere in the neighborhood of winning 3/4 of a billion dollars on Saturday. I'm going to buy a ticket but I haven't turned in my 2 weeks notice...

Do they need to schedule a meeting? If they agree to entire contract, wouldn't a phone call to JM be enough?

I also doubt this rumor is true...

The only way it MIGHT make sense, is if RA/EB would rather accept this CP than deal with an even larger CP brought by Team Restoration after 1 March...

Or if they have countered with significant reductions in our CP.

As I've said before... With the BILLIONS upon BILLIONS we are making, our current CP is my ABSOLUTE minimum... otherwise, it's a very easy NO.

Just flew with an LEC person. There has been nothing since the proposal was given. I think they scheduled a meeting to decide what type of table(round or rectangular) they would use at the meeting after that one. Expect no news until Mar 31st when the company has to go into mediation mandated by our current agreement. Then expect nothing else to come either.

Yes because LEC guys never hide anything and are always transparent

Didn't management in the past threaten either take this deal or the next one will be worse?

Well, here's their chance, the next one will cost more.

Can't seem to find my backpack.... anywhere!

Just had a beer at Spondivits with the 4th floor janitor, the company increased our opener. Holiday pay will be retroactive.

notEnuf 01-08-2016 06:03 AM

Heard that United ratification is a concern, waiting until the vote is concluded. From a reliable source of course.

Bull squeeze! Nobody just has "a beer" at Spondivits. Even if it is before 10 am.

I'd be very surprised if the company sits on its hands until mediation. By doing so they lose control of the process. They have much to gain by inking a new agreement in a timely manner. They have problems that need solved and investors who need reassuring. Whatever the case though, we didn't sign a concession filled agreement for a small net pay increase. We retained higher paying 757's and still gained more 100 seat flying. Our profit sharing remains intact and projected profits are astronomical. One thing for them to remember; you can pay me now, or pay me later, the price will only increase over time. It's in their best interest to find a reasonable solution sooner than later.

Purple Drank 01-08-2016 06:14 AM

I'm not buying the rumors.
It's a classic "wearing the other guy down" tactic. Build up hope...and then tear it down.
This "rumor" has Mike Cambpell's fingerprints all over it. And the outgoing LEC guys have proven they are happy to enable management's games.

One beer? Really?

Dated today
Negotiations Update: On December 22, 2015, your Negotiating Committee met with Delta’s negotiators to re-engage on Section 6 negotiations, presenting the Company with a proposal as directed by your MEC. (For details of the proposal, please see Negotiators’ Notepad 15-16, available on the Delta MEC website under the Negotiations Contract 2015 banner.) As of today, the Company has not responded, and no further negotiating sessions have been scheduled.

poostain 01-08-2016 09:08 AM

Pupledrank is spot on. I don't believe "good" rumors from "reliable" sources that can't be identified.

Not sure how either side loses control over the process via mediation.

Scoop

BobZ 01-08-2016 01:10 PM

no one does.

The only barometer that may influence is the UAL Ta approval/rejection.

Boatbuilder 01-08-2016 01:55 PM

Every dad we get another days worth of 2016 profit sharing. The longer it takes the less the pilot group will be willing to give any of it up.

Time is $$$

Hank Kingsley 01-08-2016 02:00 PM

There's a pretty good chance each and everyone of us is making a lower hourly rate than we make over 10 years ago, without a pension and with basically catastrophic health insurance for which we pay quite a bit.

Show us the money!

If United votes 99% in favor, I think we will see a lower counter offer. If they vote 51%, our offer will be accepted before the United results are even published.

BobZ 01-09-2016 12:09 PM

GF..... yep.

Klondike Bear 01-09-2016 12:27 PM

I think one more TA will have to get shot down before we get a good one.

Hopefully the MEC will kill it.
