The lanyard itself is verboten by company policy so I would say go ahead and wear it if you want. I have no idea about the other questions.

If you're nonreving or JSing while on MLOA and you're off probation, wear it.

A policy that only applies while in uniform and that cannot be enforced until July (six months following the FOM change). Even after that, ALPA still has a legal standing to ask it's membership to wear orange as a legal Union action.

An instructor at CQ told us the company initially asked them to enforce the new lanyard policy, but management reversed themselves after a couple weeks. Now the guidance is don't say anything about the lanyard policy. Most of the SLIs now wear orange. My sim buddy joined me and put his orange one on for day 2.

Mine asked me "Since when did orange become an acceptable color when not associated with Harley Davidson? You HATE every NCAA team that wears orange." Told her 'Soon as we get a contract it's gone!"

In LA yesterday I saw Council 16 Chairman going into a pow wow with chief pilots and regional dir in the lounge. He was not wearing his orange lanyard while in business casual. Funny thing was, he was wearing a black lanyard with Delta on it. So the LEC chair in LA can't even be bothered to wear his orange while in a meeting with chief pilots. What kind of message does this send to management????

I think we know who'she side they are on.

16-3. We are fully in charge. I love having them on the MEC. They can report back immediately to management they are facing a brick wall of solidarity.

While commuting to work yesterday I noticed the pilots (who flew us) were not wearing orange lanyards. Stuck my head into the crew lounge - very few were wearing.

I noticed a lot of pilots not wearing ANY lanyards, just ID's clipped to shirt pocket flaps.

I want to say 3 weeks ago I saw more orange..
Did CPO crackdown on it?

Just curious.
