Default Orange Momentum

I'm seeing more orange lanyards every day.

We are going to succeed in attaining a great contract.

The question is the speed at which it is attained.

The more unified we are, the faster we will reach our goals.

Management will float trial balloons and attempt to weaken our resolve. They are spitting into the wind.

Do your part each and every day.

Support your negotiating committee and your MEC. Take the time to call and write with your support.

Volunteer to picket or work on your local Strike committee.

Call the DALPA office, tell them you are ready to help.

FYI Last trip through ATL I saw 3 big boxes of blue DELTA lanyards sitting open in CP's office. I thought wow, my orange one is not even worn out yet?!?!? No one said a word about my orange!!

CDG layover. our crew shared a bus with a NYC crew otw to the airport....not a single orange lanyard to be seen. Weak sauce. Our crew was 3 down and orange. I just dont understand why you wouldnt want to support the union now that we are all in the pot together regardless of how we got here

I've seen a pretty good orange showing. The pilots who AREN'T wearing orange really stick out, IMO. They look pretty lame......guess they are on a different team? They'll be there to enjoy the spoils of a new and better contract, however.....even tho they didn't show any support for those fighting on their behalf.

Or they're on probation.

I'll be sporting orange as soon as I have 400 hours

This. ALPA wouldn't hand out orange lanyards at the new hire dinner and told us to not get involved while on probation.

Anybody know about mil leave? Can someone picket, do union work, wear the lanyard when traveling? Or is it verboten by USERA or company policy?
