If you say so.

Learn how to quote.

So if you got hired after 2007, your career at Delta was not harmed by the bankruptcy?

I think he lost years of earnings. Just as guys/gals hired in 2001 and immediately got furloughed did. And I wouldn't limit it to Delta either, that whole generation in the industry that got hired between 2000 and now has a diminished career. Hence, RESTORATION.

You could say that about any "generation." Just at DAL-S:

Guys hired in the early 70s spent 2-3 years throwing bags on the ramp (because DAL didn't furlough) during a downtown.

DAL didn't hire betw 73-77. Guys hired between the late 70s and early 80s spent 5-8 years sitting sideways in a FE position.

Guys hired in the mid to late 80s had a good career advancement wise but also got the whole 5 year B scale that others (including me) did not have to deal with.

Guys hired in the early 90s got to be furloughed for the first time ever in DAL history and those hired in the early 2000s got to experience an even longer one.

My point? Every generation of pilots can claim this or that "diminished expectations."

Ok, we all lost something. Management has never lost a thing, except one guy lost sleep.

So we ALL lost something. I think you made my point. The bankruptcy was by far the greatest back waxing in the history of Delta.

Now its time to RESTORE that.

I'll be crowned king whiner and gladly take the tar and feathers so long as we RESTORE the value taken.

P.S. I didn't say diminished expectations, I said diminished career. Perception vs. Fact. If the "young guys" don't have a diminished career, then the elders certainly don't. We are all in this together, trying to divide this group has only one purpose.

So lets all agree?! Anyone on the property or wanting to be was affected in some fashion by the BK and degradation of our careers. The only reason Mr B or anyone else at DL has a j-o-b is that the DL Pilot's contract was thrown under the bus. We all want to get back as much of what we lost as possible. Sooner is great, but getting the most is best. Retro is a non-negotiable "given" so take all the time you need. Stockholders have made out very well. Our management and the other employees have all done a great job and deserve whatever they can get. So do we. I think that sums up my feelings. Hey Yall, have a great Delta Dream Holiday Weekend! OFG
