Just plain wrong. Last year would have been 24+% if it had been accounted for properly. Who changed the accounting practices?

Your trust in managements good will and promises are misplaced and dangerous. Not changing the formula allows a benchmark for the future.

Which union? the old one? We will defend and exploit every word as management has. Get ready for a lot of contract administration enforcement.

That's 12 years ago and no inflation adjustment. The TA was still not restorative with out the profit sharing discount.

I'm bored.

How about a game of basketball followed by making some pancakes sound?

Or would you rather do it?
Please do. Keep in mind the current MEC and Neg Comm are using the same costing that we used got the TA and feel it is valid.

First off - UAL PS untouched. DAL PS reduced.

Secondly - Our TA was defeated - why are you still arguing its merits?

I would love to know where your numbers come from. The dispute from last year was in two areas. The one of importance was the company writing off Venezulian debt which totaled 188 million dollars. There was a second area concerning severance payments that I believe brought the total to 200 million. If we win the grievance the company will have to add 40 million dollars to the profit sharing pool for last year. 20% of 200 million. The pilot share of that would be about 14 million or just over half a percent more in profit sharing. It will be a nice little check when we win but nothing near 4%. To generate 4% extra the amount being grieved would need to be well over 1.5 billion dollars.

The discussion was the pay rate relative to UAL not the merits of our contract. Like it or not the AMR and UAL payrates will have a large impact on any future TA.

He doesn't care about its merits, just wanted the money before he sailed away. The only guys I've seen that still argue for TA2015 just wanted the money before they left and didn't care about the concession wake they left behind. They'll be gone.
