As far as I'm concerned get rid of GS. Those are for the senior, the lucky, and mostly pilots that live at base. Which over half or more don't. Go to 1.5 or double time after 80. Great for all.

I bet half our pilots don't work over 80...at least with GS you have an option to put in for one if you want...if anything make it 75.

I didn't make it up, someone else might have, but I didnt.
That would pass easily. Don't believe it.

I'm sure someone can find it, but I remember a stat that showed the average Delta pilot gets paid around 82-85 hrs a month

If the pay rates were decent you wouldn't have to GS or fly any premium pay.

Joe,

This is the kind of thinking that management loves - dividing the Pilot group.

Yeah, lets get rid of GS because they only benefit the guys living in base. Next lets trade the commuting policy for more pay because many Pilots don't commute.

How about we all stick together and not let management pit us against each other.

And what will we be giving up for that?? Seriously, if JM and team can put out a TA like that without sick leave and other concessions I'll eat my hat!! (At least I couldn't wear it then!)

Funny that almost everyone I fly with talks about getting premium pay over 80 like NWA did at the end. Someone posts that it may be in the TA and people complain about losing green slips. Hmmm. Glad I'm not a negotiator. Seems to me that premium over an hour limit would spread the wealth a lot more than green slip pay does.

Another interesting subject. He brings this up because he is unable to get GSs so he doesn't really care about them and that attitude is "divisive". (I frankly don't care one way or the other on this and I am very junior in category) OK, virtual basing is beneficial to but a few yet those that might like that are supposed to shut up and color? How does one know what items that affect only a few are acceptable to the group? The point is that there are always going to be items that have special interest. To then vilify those that agree or don't agree is the divisive maneuver. For example: some don't care about funding new hire hotels. Some don't care about 76 seat RJs. (Yeah I know heresy, but it's true) Some don't care about retirement because they aren't worrying about it for 30+ years. What a bunch of interweb keyboard warriors decide is "acceptable" is divisive. That contention is born out daily right here.

And fwiw, I respect your posts Scoop. You are pretty level headed all told, but there are some here that believe there is only one way to skin a cat, and those are the divisive ones.

flame away peeps.

Agreed. Was not so much complaining, just pointing out my observation. The company negotiatiors are very sharp at reducing cost after a give. If that rumor is true they'll get significantly reduced double time in exchange for higher payrates and time and a half
