It's that high? I'm surprised. That's about my average, and I'm mad at myself for succumbing to the greed temptation. I fly with a lot of guys in both seats that bid a basic schedule and "call it good." I guess they are offset by a bunch of over-achievers. Our goal should be good pay at 75 hours and the accompanying QOL and jobs. This summer cap into the 90s is insane. I really don't understand who wants to work that much. Especially in summer.

The only thing this has the potential for, is senior guys picking up all the open time once they hit 80. That returns us effectively to the old GS system where the #1, #2 etc, is irrelevant. Didn't we spend capital to get the more equitable system. This stuff amazes me. A Mobius strip of endless "wins" for the pilots. Right?

Keep telling yourself language changes and circular negotiations are win/win.
I view it as a win. For us. I welcome language changes in many areas. I fly 75-80 hours a month and hate myself when it's 80. My category doesn't have many greenslips and the ones that go out are to people who make themselves available pretty much all the time. That's not me. I don't begrudge them if they want to do that. I do see premium pay as a much more equitable distribution than what we have now even though it will rarely affect me. Green slips will still be there for those that live off them.

Don't fool yourself that language changes in many areas aren't needed. There is plenty of room for improvement and spreading contract wealth.

Premium pay above X hours would turn reserve ultra senior.

The premium pay will go to the senior folks under either system, if they want it. The only way I'd be remotely interested in "premium pay over XX" system is if XX=60. 80 is a no-go.

As a group I see us grabbing time under this system, causing stagnation and maybe even regression. Sometimes we need to be saved from our greedy selves.

Viewing the value and benefit of the pwa entirely from an individual metric is about the biggest fail I can imagine.

That's how we got the b scale.

Toss the new hires overboard for lodging ..because it won't impact me.

Giveaway scope..... because it won't impact me.

screw the pre 72 pilots out of their retirement.... because it won't impact me.

Toss out the significant economic penalty for understaffing.... because it won't impact me.

Priceless.

You two are using 180 out logic. The appropriate CBA solution to your perceived equity issues is to make premium flying even MORE EXPENSIVE to management.

Instead you are conceding we should do the exact opposite. Since the CEO isn't here I will relay his heartfelt 'thank you'.

It seems we would need less reserve because folks would be more inclined to pick up 150%.

It would be nice to be able to pick things up on our own terms instead of having to work a holiday or weekend to get a green slip. More would definitely be able to participate and overall I know I would make more with the 150%.

Not sure how to feel about it.

We are, as a group, very bipolar.

Not as bipolar as the FA that was 20 minutes late for pickup and then told me after landing in ELP that she was about to call us and tell us to divert because it was so bumpy.

I will say 1.5x above 82 would mean even with 0 coverage I'd WS that Cabo/SAL/PVR turn and save my gs, assuming 2 in a month was unlikely, for a 2 leg 2 day.
