I didn't make it up, someone else might have, but I didnt.
I hate rumors. I want to believe this would be true, but if you combine it with this statement here:

I read between the rumor lines that this could be what we get, IF we give on sick leave and PS.
If that's the case, I'm a NO.

Like I said above...I HATE RUMORS!

It varies between 87 and 89.

Sorry, didn't mean to call you a complainer. It does point out though that one man's trash is another's treasure on a contract scale. We're 13500 differing opinions. I wonder greenslip pay as it is now or premium pay over a number of block hours with a possible reduction in greenslips would add more to the pilot bottom line overall?

It depends on where you set that bar.

How about every hour above 75 pays double, and any flying on a national holiday pays double as well.

Meh. I think holiday pay would be a company want, as it would get way more pilots to want to bid and keep the trips. I'm against premium for high hours, unless maybe its ONLY on the initial bid (high ALV months, etc) and even then its a loss IMO. All that does is incentives the pilot group to pick up as much as possible for straight pay to get to that trigger (whatever it is) and then more for 1.5 pay instead of the pilot group getting double pay.

Couple something like that with the ability to fly extra on vacation months and we've just sold a lot of pilot jobs (and sacrificed pilot QOL).

That's an annual average including vacation, training, etc...not just the monthly line of time. At 4 weeks of vacation that number is reduced by 7.58 hrs...add in 4 recurrents every 36 months and that's a reduction of 0.83hrs. so if no initial quals then the average drops to roughly 78-80/month...

I see no difference either way. The company covers about 8% of flying with premium pay. If this is the case, then there is a fixed amount of time that would go out for 2X (not 1.5X that's a non-starter). Whether you just WS over 80 or GS the award is based on seniority. The only thing this has the potential for, is senior guys picking up all the open time once they hit 80. That returns us effectively to the old GS system where the #1, #2 etc, is irrelevant. Didn't we spend capital to get the more equitable system. This stuff amazes me. A Mobius strip of endless "wins" for the pilots. Right?

Keep telling yourself language changes and circular negotiations are win/win.
