Can't speak for the wait....
ERs hadn't been given out in approximately 1.5 years, until about 2 weeks ago. They gave out 2. They went off the board 1, 2.

Agreed that some poor poolie got hosed. However to look at this situation and give a positive spin it improves our negotiating position by showing that new hires aren't showing up for class.

Lots of folks relish the idea of sitting reserve in NYC, while dog wranglers two years senior to them keep them at the bottom each AE, huh?

They probably don't understand what's going to happen to them seniority wise. I had no choice, but I didn't understand why everyone was choosing the 73N over the 7ER in my class drop. I even asked the guys around me what I was missing. No one mentioned relative seniority and movement within the category.

This is my first airline job, so I didn't get it either. They'll learn, and they'll either bid out or just stick it out. Some guys really like to say they fly a bigger airplane than other guys.

Maybe they want 757/767 international experience.

I am told it was a family emergency and he deferred to a later class. Second hand info however.

The easiest way to tell is look for the brown or purple polo shirts on day 2 of indoc.
