What a load of crap. When a bunch of new hires on probation can see through the management BS you equate that to acting like children? The BS is thick and the greenest new hire can see it. Good on em for not paying attention to the 2 weeks of stockholme syndrome training. The Delta Cares bully was my personal "favorite".

100% true. In my class, B.B. told us that he had heard that there were many "side discussions" happening while guest speakers were talking. Scolded the whole room for too much talking and said he better not hear any more about it. When we returned from lunch, all of our seats had been switched...

My post was certainly not intended to condone a free for all during class. After our "talking to" about talking, the reaction I heard from many (especially the military guys) was that they felt they were being talked down on and not talked to. I don't think anyone meant to disrespect the speakers, and I agree it would be distracting if people are talking during your presentation. I think it was more the way it was handled. It just fostered a different atmosphere which had initially been one of excitement and happiness, to something more somber. I still enjoyed my new seat just as much as the first

Either today or tomorrow will start the numerous reminders about how they are working so hard to "have your back" against different things... It's some kind of weird psychological power play. Almost every class has one of these "close the door" talking-to's. Not sure I understand it but it seems to be a matter of practice.
