Thank you! Thats what I was trying to say, I just didn't want to offend the teacher. Haha

Sounds like a class with a bunch of SSP's in it.

Just curious Mike. If you took your time to come talk to a new hire class and some decided to ignore you and carry on conversations while you were talking you would be OK with that?

My post was certainly not intended to condone a free for all during class. After our "talking to" about talking, the reaction I heard from many (especially the military guys) was that they felt they were being talked down on and not talked to. I don't think anyone meant to disrespect the speakers, and I agree it would be distracting if people are talking during your presentation. I think it was more the way it was handled. It just fostered a different atmosphere which had initially been one of excitement and happiness, to something more somber. I still enjoyed my new seat just as much as the first

Either today or tomorrow will start the numerous reminders about how they are working so hard to "have your back" against different things... It's some kind of weird psychological power play. Almost every class has one of these "close the door" talking-to's. Not sure I understand it but it seems to be a matter of practice.

And then the last speaker of indoc comes in and tells you all the ways you'll be fired. In full uniform.
