I didn't see any change to vesting.

The proposed vesting is 100% from year 1.

The flow isn’t a top 3 consideration to most applicants to AAs wholly owned regionals. In late 2015/early 2016 AAs WO regionals were lagging way behind in pay (much like they will be if this TA is passed) and the flow wasn’t a big enough carrot so they had a lot of problems recruiting. At one point some of the WOs were sending classes of 2 through training because that’s all they could get.

Most applicants are going to have their sights on the $$$ as they should. Hopefully you guys sign this industry leading TA to set the bar higher for everyone else.

Air Wisconsin still leads in 401K and Health Insurance... I really miss this. But this TA catches up or surpasses AWAC in many of the other "soft" benefits that set that airline apart and made it a good place to go...

Yes, that is the reality of FO reserve.

But keep telling yourself it's more so voting for a new contract does not seem like stealing pay from new guys...

Covering JFK AND LGA. Finishing in one place and then having to get to the other not on on Reserve but will lines be built that way? Is transportation covered in this case? You park your car one place but then have to get to the other. NYC is the only base that has this multi airport issues and no extra pay? NYC is expensive. Parking at both now?

I am asking as of course I have not seen the TA just curious?

What does this mean for new hires this year going into Jan 2018? Bonuses stop after Dec 31st 2017? So the 10,000 but maybe the 20,000 but not the 23,000?

Thank you.
As others have stated, flow isn't a big a recruiting tool as you guys think it is. When our pay rates at the AA WOs were behind everyone else, it was a recruiting nightmare. Prior to the big bonuses at Envoy, we were running classes of less than 10/month. Now with the big bonuses and quick upgrade, we had 105 in class for September. Yes, flow definitely doesn't hurt, but guys wanna see the money more than anything. Word at the schoolhouse is that our new hires are drooling over your proposed rates and many have said they would've gone there if that kind of money was on the table.

Wait, can bonuses go towards 401k? That would change things a bit if not.

Didn't mention vesting, only contributions. Think that means vesting hasn't changed at all.

We are very valuable to them and have been doing an amazing job for them especially after the BK. Yes the came back with money but we’ve been taking it in the shorts for a long time.
Funny thing is if you go to the Skywest thread they are talking about possible 900's. I wonder if they already have a plan if this TA is voted down?

I disagree with this. For those who cannot get hired due to skeletons in the closet, they need the flow. They are going to one of the AA WO's simply because they can't move up without flow. This T/A is nice because it rolled the bonus into payrates, but its still too close to what the AA regionals offer to sway people from the flow. Think of it like this: All the people with checkride busts/dui's/speeding tickets/ etc are going to the AA regionals. Now you are competeting with AA's WO's for cfi's/people looking to get back in now the money is there/etc. I would say some will go to endeavor for the money or bases, but the money is still too close to what to AA wo's offer, so for people on the fence, they will go there due to the extra kicker of the flow vs the DGI that now no longer is in the contract. Plus nothing is stopping them from applying elsewhere while having the flow in the back pocket in case they aren't hired before their number is called.
